C&A benefits any good?

Recommended Posts

What're they like, if you book a 3 and 4 day how does it work for a first time RC cruiser and what kind of benefits would you get. I looked online and found the site, but I'm not sure.

You have to have completed at least one cruise to get any C&A perks.

They mean nothing until you get to diamond when you get free happy hours every night . Up until that exhaulted level you might get a few free spends in the casino and 10% off drinks and WIFI

They are loyalty rewards. You need to show loyalty over a lot of cruises to get any worthwhile benefits.

However, Royal Caribbean is a good line anyway.......so enjoy the mine.....and diamonds are forever.......

Check out the C&A section of the RCI website http://www.royalcaribbean.com/cas/ Go to the bottom of the page and click on any ribbon and it will show you what is offered.

In addition, here is a list of Current Listing of Exclusive Onboard Offers by C&A Level These offers, determined by your C&A level, are loaded onto your SeaPass account and can be used during the cruise.

We've got 20 days with Carnival I thought you get 1 point for every day sailed

You earn 1 point for each night and an extra point if you are booked in a Junior Suite or above.

So let's say you do the 3 day and go on a 4 day, does that work

Yes, the 3 day would make you a Gold level member. It usually takes Royal a week or so to update your points, so if the 4 day was a couple of weeks after the 3 day, you should get your Gold perks on the 4 day.

We have the Anthem booked, but I'm not comfortable spending 4000 anymore, I was when I booked it.

I feel the same way about the high prices on the newest ships.

There are certainly many benefits way before you are diamond

The balcony discount you get once hitting Platinum is worthwhile too.

We found on Carnival that there wasn't to many perks, for short would you recommend Enchantment, Majesty or the Brilliance

In order of my preference, without regard to itinerary: Brilliance, Enchantment, Majesty.

Brilliance goes to Cozumel, GC, or key west, Enchantment for a 4 day, Nassau, Coco Cay and Keywest.

I prefer the Brilliance itinerary too. The other ships don't even get to the Caribbean.

In order of preference, Brilliance, Enchantment, and then any other ship in the fleet (or the fleets of several other lines) before Majesty

I would agree that the perks are really not very good until you get to diamond. Once you are plat or emerald you get slight discounts on your cruises, but to be honest anymore most of those discounts are not combinable with the sales, and in many cases the cruise websites have better deals without your status then with it.

If your preference is for the smaller ships then Royal certainly has many to choose from. I wont tell you why I like the bigger ones better because that's not the point of your post.

Definitely sign up for crown and anchor but don't expect any amazing offers until you are much higher up the food chain. (BTW it's the same with airlines and hotels as well)

DW said Carnival has good food but lack of food options, lack of restaurants, the Dream class is better than the smaller ships, the layout sucks cause the galley blocks decks where you have to go up stairs and down to get to places.
