ILuvCruisin' Posted August 7, 2015 Author #77 Share Posted August 7, 2015 At that time I was with the kids at the aquatheater with the Dreamworks Family Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Oh PR Cruisers if you have pictures please post them! I love all the Dreamworks shows, especially the Welcome Aboard Show in the Aquatheater but alas I missed them all this time...I did not get my fix of the Dreamworks Characters this time around....seems we did more adult things...;) (as in Hmmmm) LOL
ILuvCruisin' Posted August 7, 2015 Author #78 Share Posted August 7, 2015 (edited) After Sailaway we went back to the cabins and found that the rest of our bags had arrived...yah!!!...so we unpacked, freshened up and went for our first dining experience in the MDR...we had reservations every night 6:00 pm in the Grande... we prefer early dining so that we can have the rest of the evening to do other things plus by 6pm you are hungry any way so might as well eat....Again...LOL They put a lot of different tables together to make big tables for us....there were about 3 sections of large tables for our group but were all seated in the same section....really nice tables by the window.... I had the Pork Chops and they were YUMMY!!! Some one else had the Salmon...they said it was YUMMY as well.... Some of the Starter choices... ILuvCruisin' Posted August 8, 2015 Author #83 Share Posted August 8, 2015 (edited) C&A Info If you haven't heard cruise lines have programs for repeat cruisers. Each cruise line has different levels and amenities based on those levels. RCCL's is called Crown & Anchor Society. Please check their website if you want the details for the levels and amenities. They use to leave a coupon book in your cabin on embarkation day but now they load your coupons on your SeaPass Card (which is also your cabin key and used for on board purchases) Good for them for this going green effort! I currently have Diamond status. These are the Coupons loaded on my card for that Status for this cruise. this status also includes three Drinks every night and access to the Diamond club for breakfast and a nightly Happy Hour: and these Activities that will not be listed in the Daily Cruise Compass: Edited August 8, 2015 by ILuvCruisin'
ILuvCruisin' Posted August 8, 2015 Author #84 Share Posted August 8, 2015 Embarkation Informational Sheets the flip side of it has picture of the ship and what's on each deck...be sure to get it when you check in at the pier...sometimes they forget to give it to you and I'm not sure they have it at Guest Services...it helps to get you acclimated to the ship and remember where everything is... She is HUGE...I've been on 5 times now and can remember most things but I still carried this with me everywhere... the area on Deck 14 that is wiped out on the page from my folding it is Adventure Ocean

The Sports Decks are 15 and 16...All the Sports stuff is on these decks except for the Ice Skating Ring which is in Studio B on Deck 4 and I count the Carousel because it goes up and down and round and round (LOL) which is on Deck 6 the Boardwalk... After a couple of tries...she got the hang of it...

I am really chicken when it comes to heights....I once had to stop the car and let my sister drive when we were on our way up the mountain to see the Hollywood sign LA.....I just couldn't continue driving once I could see the steepness of the mountain..... but plenty of people love the Zipline...Wait till you see the one in Labadee...All I can say is WOO! This is what we see if we stand on our Boardwalk Balcony on Deck 9 and look up...People Flying across the corridor!!! ILuvCruisin' Posted August 9, 2015 Author #89 Share Posted August 9, 2015 (edited) Next up basketball court, miniature golf, ping pong tables, vitality spa, and the video arcade. Also if I can find it I will post some ice skating pictures. The daily cruise compass provides various time that you can go skating and the ice skating show, Frozen in Time, is not to be missed. As soon as I locate all the pictures I'll start posting. Please post a message so I know someone out there is getting something out of this. I like doing it but without your comments in a review we don't know if we are providing useful (and hopefully entertaining) info. Thanks for riding with a sistah! LuCruise Posted August 9, 2015 #91 Share Posted August 9, 2015 Such great pictures. I've been chicken to try the FlowRider, but from your pictures, for some reason it doesn't look as scary (the boogie version).
denamo Posted August 9, 2015 #92 Share Posted August 9, 2015 ILuvCruisin', Your pictures tell the Oasis class story wonderfully. Makes me want to be on an Oasis class ship right now. It's our favorite class of ship. Many say they don't care for the Boardwalk balcony, but we enjoy them. It's what we book when we go. We'll be on a Voyager class later this month (Navigator). Can't wait since "WeLuvCruisin'" too. :) Thank you for taking the time to post these post-cruise pics. Totally enjoyed your scoping. I was not at all familiar with the Periscope app, and thought it was fun to watch. Looks like you started a trend since two others have scoped the Oasis since your cruise. :)
ILuvCruisin' Posted August 10, 2015 Author #93 Share Posted August 10, 2015 Love the review and enjoyed the scoping. Which camera did you use for the still pictures? Thanks again. DrB I'm glad you're enjoying it DrB. The scoping was really a lot of fun and I appreciate everyone who joined in. I used my iPhone 5s and an Android LG tablet to take the pictures. I brought my regular digital with me but there was need to use it. Thank you so much for taking the time to post something in this thread. Appreciate you riding with a sistah! More to come. Hopefully you will get to Sail on her soon! Harmony is coming up you know!!! It's my Fav Class as well. I too love the Boardwalk Balconies and have enjoyed Navigator as well. Have a great cruise! Wow you tuned in for the Scoping too. Thanks so much for that. It was sooooo much fun! Yes, I hope the Periscope trend continues as the LiveStreaming adds a whole other dimension to the "Land Based" cruising experience. Thanks for posting something on this thread. ILuvCruisin' Posted August 10, 2015 Author #97 Share Posted August 10, 2015 (edited) SAY WHAT!!! A Basketball Court on a Cruise Ship? Yep!!! and trust that the guys utilized it. I even saw it being used for a basketball game and at the same time some guys were kicking the soccer ball around as the court also has soccer goals. Women love their shopping and men love their sports! I think Oasis does a great job of giving every one places to do things together (whether as a couple or family) and places each person can enjoy on their own. On one of our Oasis cruises one of the guys elected to stay behind and play basketball rather than go on one of our port tours...hey he was a grown man and if that's what he wanted to do with his port day then so be it... The area with all the windows is the Windjammer so be sure to look for these windows when dining in there...it makes for a great view...also in this picture you can see the "Landing" area for the Zipline. ILuvCruisin' Posted August 10, 2015 Author #98 Share Posted August 10, 2015 (edited) Ping Pong and Video Arcade The Ping Pong Tables are near the Wipeout Cafe... this Cafe serves your sports type food...hamburgers, hotdogs, fries, this is also the place to get that Made to Order Omelet On Oasis the Video Arcade is called the Challenger's Arcade....When my son was younger I always tried to remember that it was his vacation too but his Video Arcade play was limited so that he could enjoy other things that cruising offers and not just video play....
