Donna, just saw some more price drops on your 3 day Anthem cruise. Not sure what cabins you had but maybe Noel's a chance to upgrade?
WOW - thanks for the head's up! I appreciate that you're looking out for me after you were so helpful in guiding me to get the big price adjustment a few days ago. For now, I'm going to stick with my D8 because only obstructed views and guarantees have dropped further, and the JS is still way too high. I have the same cabin that I had on Quantum, and we really loved the location!

Currently on Serenade, I spoke with Manua, a cruise activities personnel, and Bobby is on for one more sailing. Here is where it gets confusing, Topi will cover Bobby's break for 2 months. Then Bobby will be back to the TA to Copenhagen. Topi will do the European tour to the TA to Boston. Then Carly will takeover for Topi for the Canadian run. Whew.

Interesting we are getting different information. I was just talking with Carly and she said she's getting on mid March and will be on through the transatlantic

Hmmm...maybe Bobby has been reassigned? (back to Adventure?)

I will update the list tonight.

Maybe but Carly also mentioned this schedule for her in November. I booked the transatlantic because she was going to be on it. Waited to say something here until I could confirm with her as I know schedules can change at the last minute.

Bobby brown is on Serenade right now.
As the list indicates, Bobby was supposed to be on until today (Jan 25) and then hand off to Topi. Are you onboard today (Monday January 25) and have info that the handover scheduled for today did not occur? Edited by DonnaK

Carly was the CD on our Mariner TA in 2012. I thought she was great. She would walk through the Royal Promenade and stop and talk to anyone who stopped her. Very accessible. Unlike many CD's who disappear into crew only doors. I am glad to see her back in CD rotation and hope to see her on a future cruise.

For me she is my favorite cruise director in the 60+ royal and 10+cruises on other lines. She's friendly, personable, visible, has a great sense of humor and great memory. The activities I've attended that she's hosted are entertaining. The activities manager on Enchantment introduced us to her November 2010 and she's remembered me each time I've seen her over the last 5 years - even with a 2-3 year break in between. I've scheduled 6 cruises simply because she was scheduled to be cruise director on it.

I will be on the Jewel for the April TA. I have never sailed with John Blair before and would appreciate any comments about him.

It is a 15 day cruise so the CD and how he handles himself and the activities staff is very important

Thanks

On Allure right now and Luke appears to not be on the ship. I think Michele (standing in as CD) said that Luke had surgery in FLL yesterday, but he is doing well. Obviously, no idea how this will affect future plans.

We just sailed with John (and his wife, Katrina as the AM) on the Jewel in November. He wasn't my favorite but wasn't my least favorite by far. He does a big Neil Diamond thing and it's a little too aged for my taste but a lot of people enjoyed it. Some of the activities were a little cheesy, and not nearly as crazy as some of the younger CDs, but it was still nice. He took time out to talk to the passengers and appeared to have a genuine level of care and concern for all of the guests and crew alike. I would sail with him again, but may avoid some of the 'dated' activities.
