Do You Get to Keep Your Sign & Sail Card?

Yes! I glue a magnet to the back and put them on the fridge with my photos.

I put a magnet on ours too and put them on my workstation at work. I always get a ship's magnet and it goes above the sail and sign. I will need a bigger door on my workstation soon.:D

On one of our B2Bs the guy dinged it and put it in the bin as we were getting off the ship to go through customs. I said "I want that" so he had to dig for it.

On our last B2B, the guy who was escorting us off the ship to go through customs & back on the ship, took all of our cards to ding out at the desk. He did give them back to us, thought, when we got back on the ship.

There are rare exceptions to the rule. On my first cruise, with Royal, I was looking forward to starting my card collection. On debark day we were kept from getting off the ship for a couple of hours due to a computer glitch. Eventually they let us off because they needed to turn the ship around and needed us out of the way, but since the computer problems weren't resolved they kept our cards to scan later.

I've used double stick tape to attach mine to the side of the fridge. The front door has magnets from all the places I've visited. Nice way to remember.......

Have lost so many momentos through the years for various reasons, last one was due to Hurricane Ike. Since then, like you mentioned, I get magnets from places I have visited, and put them on the fridge. Thankfully, I have an upright deep freeze next to it as will need the room soon! I had not thought of putting my sail and sign cards up. Good idea! But, only have the ones since 2008. Wish there was a way to replace the ones I have lost. So glad for this post as my husband has asked me why I have hung on to the ones I have. Now, I have an answer! Now, I am trying to think of a way to incorporate my Carnival pins. Any ideas?:)

I bought a model ship from each of our cruises. In my garage, I built a long shelf that has all of the models on it. Above each model is a framed picture of the ship with the date of the cruise on it. I drilled a small hole in the picture frame and glued the ship's pin in it.

Can you keep your sign and sail card after your cruise is over? We are taking our very first cruise and would like to keep them for our scrap book.

Yes. Stil have all of ours since they got rid of the paper ones. We had to give back the plastic key inserts though back then.
