How to "surprise" someone with a cruise! Suggestions?

Recommended Posts

Tomorrow (4th) I think.

Pacific Eden is showing on the Marine Traffic website as heading for Melbourne and is due to arrive tomorrow morning.

Really looking forward to hearing how it all goes.

Well...I did it! He was completely surprised and loved the news.

What can I say - first impressions of Eden are amazing! Very very impressed and such a more boutique luxury feel than Dawn & Jewel.

Pool decks and restaurants look fantastic as do the lifts and public areas. The stateroom is perfect, no signs of dated decor or condition. The bars and lounges look amazing and we can't fault a thing so far. Wish we were going to be on for longer!

Will be sure to post a review when back :)

By the way scavenger hunt went really well! Had clues printed for each step.

We visited a cafe for breakfast, had photos in a signature Melbourne laneway, a visit to the aquarium to see the amazing crocodiles and penguins, visit to a lolly shop, Vietnamese street food for lunch, a walk on the beach at Port Melbourne before announcing the boarding of the cruise.

Hi all we are back! Had a great relaxing cruise and really enjoyed Eden.

If we can, I'd like to do one or two short cruises a year as you really do ge the chance to unwind and relax.

I'll be back this week with an objective review. Have gone in with an open mind and will be sure to mention the majority good experience, and small minor negatives.

I agree,

The only thing better than a couple of short cruises are a couple of long cruises.;)

Enjoy and thank you again all for letting me share my excitement on this thread :)

Very comprehensive - I've ticked off quite a number of questions I had on my "to ask" list for a future cruise on Eden that we are looking at. I will have a couple more reads through - love the photo's - fabulous review. :)

Though you did forget one thing - you covered everything - but what colour were the Captain's socks? :p (only kidding) :D
