Ovation: is she the poor relation?

Recommended Posts

When I have looked on my booking it now says Dynamic, so I get it. I too got the unable to book message  I didn't use a TA I booked direct with RCI.

If you do book can you then change to another time if you want or do you have to stick with it ?

Thanks

If you book Dynamic Classic, you are stuck with either early or late. If you don't want that, try to change to Choice now.

I don't know what "Open Dynamic" means. If that is another name for what Royal used to call Dynamic Choice, then you can change times either online or after you board, assuming the times you want are available.

..and if you don't know Bob, then no one does..!;)

My Ovation booking online says 'Dinner Seating: My Time Dining' and my Guest Copy invoice says 'Dynamic'.

It is no wonder we are all confused!

They seem to use the terms "Open Seating" and Dynamic Dining interchangeably.

I'm guessing this is just another permutation of the moniker.

I think Royal's Department of Maximum Obfuscation must have full responsibility for dining on Ovation now.

If you have an easy way to call Crown & Anchor, I would call them and see if they can help.

I got same message, but if you book via dining>book all days, then you can select each individual day. Don't have to book all.

With not knowing show schedule it's hard to know what dining options to go for.

Have booked an early one for night 1 at the American icon.

I've just tried it that way still wont work

Update, tried again and it worked. Thanks. What time are the shows normally , I have booked most of the meals for 7.30 ?

Good you got there.

Shows used to be on twice when Royal did set dining to ensure all were able to watch. With the dynamic dining I don't know if this will still be the case.

Have gone for an early dining time for night one, so the muster drill is over, allows time to change (if cases arrive in cabin) and then after allows us to see a show and maybe hit the casino.

I have booked all ours part from the Paris day, where I guess we'll be fairly late back and tired so shall probably just head to the Windjammer and Cherbourg because it's last night of sailing.

There is the option to cancel or modify the reservations, and I believe you can change them once on board too.

The booking process this week was very hit and miss, loads of error messages, but today, for some reason, quick and efficient!

Great deal at £478 each have been given a balcony on deck 12

Never been on such a new ship and looking forward tongue dynamic dining

Would this be Royal's latest iteration of Dynamic Dining?

How is Quantum dining different than Anthem?

As said, it operates as MyTime like mentioned here for Ovation.

In practice, there is no classic option, in either case you can choose which restaurant to go to. And you don't retain the same table or staff.

When booking I had the option to choose classic or Mytime, which was then called Dynamic on my booking form .
