I have prepurchased the 18 voucher pack. Where do I pick up the vouchers¿¿

I searched a bit more in the daily planners posted online because it just didn't make sense to me that we could only pick up vouchers on day 2. I just found this printed in the December 5th Daily Planner which was embarkation day. So it appears we can pick up pre-purchased voucher packages day one or day 2.

Saturday: December 5th Beverage Package Pick-Up: Guests who have pre-booked any of our Beverage Packages are invited to come and pick up their vouchers. They will be issued at Casino Veneziano Deck 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and from 10 p.m. until midnight and at your specific dining room from 5:45-10:00 p.m.

Sunday, December 6th Beverage Package Pick-Up: Guests who have pre-booked any of our Beverage Packages are invited to come and pick up their vouchers. They will be issued at Casino Veneziano, Deck 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Does anyone know what the price of Beer is if you do not pre purchase coupons. Can you buy the packages on the ship, or do you have to get them ahead of time?

claudia

You can buy some of the packages on the ship, the most popular ones. Most beers were $5, I believe.

Thanks for the reply. That is not a bad price for a beer. Can't decide if we should buy a package ahead or just wait to get on the ship. Have not sailed on MSC before, so it is a little confusing with all the different packages.

Leaving in a few days.....wondering can you share a drink package? That is 9 drinks apiece on an 18 drink voucher?

We were on the Divina in December, 2015 and got the 12 drink package. It was good value for money and it does include gratuity. We used it for martini, a cocktail or two, pina colada. They were not stingy with the alcohol, the servers gave great service, and we used all the bars. Other people in our cabin used the vouchers, although you do need to sign the bar bill each order, even though it says $0.

We liked the fact that servers were invisible and didn't hound you every few minutes for an order. When we wanted something, we caught their eye and they came over immediately. We collected our 12 drink package from the main dining room on the first night, although some said you can also pick it up in the casino. Enjoy your cruise, Divina is a beautiful ship.

This may have been covered, but with the drink packages bought prior to our cruise, we didn't get charged the 15% 'service charge' with every order. Others paying 'by the drink' end up paying more. We also arrived between 2-3:00 and waited in line for less than 10 minutes, they said people who get there first thing had to wait for quite a while.

I had the mealtime Forfait package in December and I'm using it again in May. It's a great deal for $20/day.

Unlimited wine (a choice of 2 white, 2 red and 1 rosé house brands), mineral water, draft beer, sodas and fruit juices during lunch and dinner.

The drinks included in this package are for consumption in the main restaurants and the self-service buffet, but not in the specialty restaurants.

I ate all my meals in the buffet, so, I had unlimited wine from 11am to 4pm and again from 6pm to 9pm. :D I would go to the buffet, collect some bread and cheese and 2 glasses of wine and return to my balcony with it. :o

Now that's sound like a great deal and what a way to relax while on holidays.

If I purchase the MORE-FOR-LESS ESCAPE PASS Beverage card for 18 consumptions. Can it be used for all alcoholic drinks or is the card divided up into different types, like so many non-alcoholic,ice cream and wine & beer.

Thanks

Dave

"18 vouchers for the consumption of a wide range of drinks from the Bar and Wine list including wines by the glass, draft, bottled or canned beer, canned sodas, fruit juices, mineral water, a wide selection of coffee-based drinks, premium teas, hot chocolate delights, a selection of call-brand spirits, cocktails, as well as take-away ice cream in a cone or cup. "

18 for $84 averages out to $4.66 per so you can use it on whatever you want that is covered. It certainly doesn't make sense to use it on soda, fruit juice, premium tea, etc. I purchased the same package and will use it in 2 weeks and expect to use it only on alcohol. I'll report if different.

Maureen,

My DD and I both read your review of the Divina. Thank you, it was fabulous!!! We laughed so much!

I was sorry to hear about your Mom and I hope you are getting through the grieving process. May your memories stay close to your heart forever.

I hope we meet up some day on a cruise!

Where do we purchase this? Call Msc to prepurchase? Purchase when we get on-board.

Call MSC or use their web site to purchase, therefore no gratuity will be added. If you purchase on day one or two for the same price the gratuity will be added.

I think when pre ordering they want the order a wk. prior to your sailing date.

Kinda off topic.....going with a friend.Neither of us are 20- something.. More like 50-something lol,but neither of us are suit and tie people.We do enjoy good meals though.Do we have to wear trousers,tie? Suit? The Carnival cruise I went on was alot more casual from what I am reading.

My hus. wears pants and a dress shirt, ivy league type, open collar or tie. No jacket. I would not wear shorts in the dining room for dinner.

Love that pic of the Aft balcony, we got one for our upcoming trip on the Orchestra.

We got a deal when booking nearly a year ago which included the 12 drink vouchers per adult, does anyone know if we still need to go pick them up at casino? I was hoping they would just leave it for us in our cabin.:confused:

I'm also considering getting a non-alcoholic package for my 6 y/o as she loves to copy mommy and get the non-alcholic smoothie drinks when I get my adult libation. Any suggestions on which plan would be good for a 6 year old?

Hi folks,

From our April 2nd cruise on Divina...

The blurb in the daily paper on embarkation day:

IMG_20160402_143133.jpg

BEVERAGE PACKAGES PICK-UP

Guests who have pre-booked any of our Beverage Packages

are invited to come and pick up their vouchers. They will be

issued at Casino Veneziano, deck 6 from 11:30am to

5:30pm & from 10:00pm to Midnight and at your

specific dining room from 6:00pm to 10:00pm.

The pick up station, no line at ~2:30pm:

IMG_20160402_153729.jpg

They had a pick up confirmation stapled to the envelope, which was signed and they filed back in the filing system.

IMG_20160402_154022.jpg

The actual coupon:

IMG_20160402_154039.jpg

MORE-FOR-LESS ESCAPE PASS

This voucher YOU to choose one of the following drinks:

wines by the glass with the price up to US$ 7.50 • draft beer • bottled and

canned beer with the price U to US$ 5 • energy drinks and coolers with

the price up to US$ 5 • canned sodas, fruit juices and mineral water • all

coffee-based drinks, premium teas and hot chocolate delights • selection of

call-brand spirits • all cocktails from the Bar list with the price up to US$ 8

• takeaway ice cream in a cone or cup.

Valid in all bars and restaurants, including the fee paying restaurants.

... Sorry, the OCR didn't work as well on this one and I may not have caught all the mistakes.

~~~~~~~~~~~
These worked well for us, and they seemed to be quite common. Hard to know how many there were since we picked up ours mid-afternoon, but at that point there were still a few dozen left.
In regards to redeeming the vouchers: you gave the coupon(s) along with your card. They would scan the card, ring up the drink, then credit the coupon to bring it to zero, and otherwise a normal transaction.
~~~~~~~~~~~

There were no vouchers for the photo package, at least none that we were ever given. They had a record at the photo desk, and made a note when we redeemed ours. We did it all at once, but it seemed like it was possible to do it in batches. If not, I heard someone asking one of the clerks to put some photos in their file, so perhaps they will hold selected photos until later in the cruise.

These were 8x10s, which is what I expected and suited our needs. US$100 for 10 8x10s is a pretty good deal on a cruise ship. I did not see any price sheets or deals posted to take a photo of and post here. We selected our photos and 'bought' them on Thursday afternoon, so I may have missed some final day deals. DW and I both recall that we bought a package last time for US$130 which we think was 10 8x10s, plus the photos on USB, plus the ship DVD. For our money, the pre-paid package is better. However, you lose flexibility so YMMV.
