Price of Gas in Florida

Trying to gauge the cost of a tank of gasoline while in Florida. Would also be helpful for Virginia, the Carolinas and Georgia.

I know the price could change between now and April, but I can tell if these states are more or less expensive than Maryland.

It's cheap. It's just under $2 a gallon here in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

South Carolina will probably be about the cheapest. We have one of the lowest fuel tax......and some the worst roads to go along with it. :rolleyes:

I travel to Maryland annually and Florida gas is usually more expensive. With prices as low as they have been though, the difference is so negligible.

As others have mentioned, it will be cheaper in SC than other places. It will be a little more expensive in GA than SC, and it'll bump up again when you cross the Florida border.

$1.63 here in Jacksonville but is likely to be less just across the border in Georgia. Fill up at Exit 1 in Georgia.

Interesting that for the most part Maryland has higher gas per gallon. In our town it is around $1.76. And the difference is rather negligible. I won't worry about it.

It's still above $2 here in the downtown Miami area, just saw $2.18. Yesterday it was $2.56 over on Key Biscayne.

In my driving around a week ago Friday in Ft Lauderdale and a little south (Lauderdale by the Sea to the north, Aventura Mall area to the south and over to Sun Life Stadium), prices ranged from 1.85 to 2.29. I filled up the rental at 17th and US1 for something like 1.93 Saturday morning. Shame there isn't a gas station either further east on 17th or one on the west side of US1 heading southbound lol. What a joy getting out of that station was when you wanted to go to the airport. Did the old through the lights and u-turn to make a right thing lol.

As a result of flight cancellations due to the blizzard, got stuck driving from Miami to NJ last week up I-95.

 

Other than right by the airports gas was around $1.75 up & down the coast according to the signs I could read from the road. Sometimes a little lower; rarely much higher.

Wish we could get that price in the Brickell/Downtown area. One gas station was $2.39. My friend show lives in Kendall got $1.95 yesterday.

We are there. I paid $2.19 at the Shell Station across from the Rio Vista Community Church on Federal Highway last night.

We're between $1.73 and $1.85 in Tally.

 

Three weeks ago when we were still at $1.83 at Costco, we got gas down in Mims at $1.77. At the Raceway in PC it was $1.78.
