I am shocked at Celebrity last minute prices - they can't give away cruises.

Today special on 14 days Eclipse in April sailing - bal gty under $2500/ cabin, solo rate - AQ - under $3000. I am so sad I have previous commitments.;)

Thank you all for your good wishes. This was a last minute decision for us. Since the cruise is fairly port intensive, we decided to give an inside a try. Boy oh boy this upgrade sure is exciting! Of course, at the price we paid we do not get a beverage package or any other goody from Celebrity. We will just have to pay as we go.;)

See you onboard on Sunday. That's a great GTY assignment. The previous occupant probably did an upsell. A week ago there were 5 Royal Suites available and last few days some C1 and A2 cabins so I suspect people have been grabbing last minute upgrade deals.

Congrats! We are on the 2/27 sailing of the Reflection and have been watching prices carefully; I think with the Zika scare, Caribbean cruises aren't selling all that well. We're more than happy to pay for an upgrade if AQ or a suite drift down to a certain number!

You may find that you don't drink too much more than when at the Happy Hour as you are in port most days anyway.:D

We did get a visit from the upgrade fairy a long time ago. 2004 on the Constellation got an upgrade from a regular balcony to a concierge.

 

Ever since then, we have been doing concierge class. It's getting tougher to do that now because the price difference can be a lot.
