tamtot Posted March 5, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2016 We were sitting in the schooner and heard Oscar Oscar Oscar. Captain has stopped the ship, said a guy jumped overboard. apparently they have called Miami coast Guard. Have stopped the ship and have tons of lit life rings all around the water. Coralc Posted March 5, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 5, 2016 That's too bad Roger. I hope they find him or her. And it is a shame about the impact that this might have on yours or following sailings.

mattjs Posted March 5, 2016 #8 Share Posted March 5, 2016 We're in an aft corner cabin, watching them throw out life rings. (With Rosebud1g one deck up). That is one announcement you hope to never hear.

That is one announcement you hope to never hear. We have been on our Aft balcony since we heard the code Oscar. Cabin 8390, chatting with Matt. The lights from the rescue equipment seems far away from our view right now. We still are doing circles. The captain made an announcement earlier but haven't heard any updates. tamtot Posted March 5, 2016 #22 Share Posted March 5, 2016 Can see the helicopter searchlights and such from our balcony on Deck 7. Not seeing any of the life preservers though. Just the saddest.
BUG1955 Posted March 5, 2016 #23 Share Posted March 5, 2016 It is totally dark. It will be a miracle if they do. Sent from my KFTHWI using Tapatalk Yes a miracle if the person is found . I'm close to the front where the search light is searching . Port side . Helicopter is now searching away from ship . I think we will be leaving once the coast guard boat gets to our location . Sad ! Prayers to the family !
