What time does security open?

Orgially planned to arrive at the terminal around 11:30 or noon but our morning plans were scrapped. Rain is coming in and we are wondering what time security opens? We would rather wait at the terminal then out hotel room. Also if my husband is droping us off with the luggage and then parking our off site will we have to wait out side. That was the original plan but waiting in the rain is all wet.☺

they will not start letting people inside to check in until every one is off the ship and it has been zeroed out for passengers.

on our last Galveston cruise, the day we got back it was disgusting.. strong, heavy winds, rain sideways, the whole nine yards. self disembark people, scheduled to get off at 7 were not allowed to leave until nearly 830.

as a result, the entire process was delayed significantly so I imagine they didn't start letting cars inside the gate to drop off luggage at the usual time of 930 or so and it was much closer to 11.

another words, if weather has put the kibosh on your plans, it may very well impact the ship's schedule as well.

You can drop luggage and everyone off at the terminal and let valet parking park your car for an extra $20. Well worth it. The parking garage is two blocks away in a very congested area. Check your sail pass for earliest arrival time (ours was 10am) and arriving about 30 minutes earlier should be ok.

Didn't the OP say they did not want to stay at the hotel?? They want to be at the terminal.

Yes, but an accurate answer would have required the poster to have actually read the OP.;)
