JimAOk1945 Posted April 10, 2016 #27 Share Posted April 10, 2016 Yeah, I actually find it has worked out really well for me! I like it better than hiding all signatures. Plus you can always click on the hidden post if you feel you want to read the comment. :) I've done this a few times. It's nice to have the option. :D
Extra Kim Posted April 10, 2016 #28 Share Posted April 10, 2016 Two clocks side by side is better then two clocks vertical. Some signatures are extremely long  I know that mine isn't short but at least I have put my countries in horizontal in stead of vertical like some does with their cruises. To give you an idea of the difference: What does that prove?? Other than it's as annoying as the super long posts that people have to copy and say - I agree, or - Thanks for the post. It gets to the point where people stop reading the thread.
Extra Kim Posted April 10, 2016 #30 Share Posted April 10, 2016 (edited) The point is that if you have 6 clocks and put them two by two it takes up three lines: Without scrolling horizontal. Edited April 10, 2016 by Extra Kim

beachbum53 Posted April 10, 2016 Author #32 Share Posted April 10, 2016 Instead of six: But is it really necessary to have more than one (or two) countdown clocks at a time?
zqvol Posted April 11, 2016 #33 Share Posted April 11, 2016 The point is that if you have 6 clocks and put them two by two it takes up three lines: Without scrolling horizontal. Why is it necessary to have any?
WupperAV Posted April 11, 2016 #34 Share Posted April 11, 2016 Nobody cares if you've been on 10 cruises. Why brag?
Langley Cruisers Posted April 11, 2016 #35 Share Posted April 11, 2016 Why is it necessary to have any? Some members like to use them for a number of reasons. If you don't want to see them, that's why there are several suggestions in this thread. :p
Extra Kim Posted April 11, 2016 #36 Share Posted April 11, 2016 But is it really necessary to have more than one (or two) countdown clocks at a time? I have never had more then two, but some people have a lot. You can still have two side by side without making the page wider.
CPT Trips Posted April 12, 2016 #37 Share Posted April 12, 2016 I have sigs turned off. Viewing some of the posts here reinforced that decision. I have reported posts with photos that are so large they overwhelm the screen of my tablet.
Langley Cruisers Posted April 12, 2016 #38 Share Posted April 12, 2016 I have sigs turned off. Viewing some of the posts here reinforced that decision. Sorry - if you have sigs turned off, what decision is reinforced? You can't see them.
GUT2407 Posted April 12, 2016 #39 Share Posted April 12, 2016 Why is it necessary to have any? It's not necessary, But it is allowed and some like having them. Petition the admins to get rid of hem if you like.
GUT2407 Posted April 12, 2016 #40 Share Posted April 12, 2016 But is it really necessary to have more than one (or two) countdown clocks at a time? What if you have more than two cruises booked.
OCruisers Posted April 13, 2016 #41 Share Posted April 13, 2016 While LONG signatures really are annoying, you can't pick & choose. If you turn the signatures off, you can't read any of them. Some are nice when they only list their upcoming cruises ... not every cruise they've ever taken. LuLu
CPT Trips Posted April 13, 2016 #42 Share Posted April 13, 2016 Sorry - if you have sigs turned off, what decision is reinforced? You can't see them. Well, more than a couple posts included examples of lengthy sigs. Lord knows I don't want to have to scroll through non-brag lists. When I want to look for a sig - say when someone mentions in a post that their blog address is in their sig has more info - it's very easy get their sig. Just click on the screen name and then "view public profile."
beachbum53 Posted April 13, 2016 Author #43 Share Posted April 13, 2016 What if you have more than two cruises booked. If someone has a cruise (or more than one) that's more than a year out, why not wait until it's a year or less to post a countdown clock? And, why not delete the countdown clocks for any cruises that have already been taken?
