farmgirl65 Posted April 14, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2016 Is it ok to wear the same dress for both formal nights? Does anyone do it?
awhfy Posted April 14, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 14, 2016 Sure. I do it all the time, just change out the jewelry
cruisinwithmaandpa Posted April 14, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 14, 2016 I don't, but that is just me. I wear a long gown, so that is why I change it up.
clairebearinaus Posted April 15, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 15, 2016 I did, in fact I wore it on some other nights too! I have a Sacha Drake Ultimate Black Dress which can be tied a few ways to give a different style. It's also easy to hand wash and dry, and doesn't need ironing. Gingee Posted April 15, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 15, 2016 I don't wear the same dress but unless it is something unusual, I doubt anyone would remember you wearing the same one.
DeeDee Groff Posted April 15, 2016 #6 Share Posted April 15, 2016 I don't wear the same dress but unless it is something unusual, I doubt anyone would remember you wearing the same one. As was the case with a "fluffy" woman who wore the same revealing, skintight, bright red cocktail dress for every formal night on a seven-week cruise--and who seemed to grow more fluffy every time she wore the dress! It was at the point where it appeared she was going to have a "wardrobe malfunction" toward the end of the cruise.....
Rare CruisinCrow Posted April 15, 2016 #7 Share Posted April 15, 2016 I've done it but I prefer to have two different dresses. At least I'll try to wear the same shoes with both dresses. I think most people get fluffier over the course of a cruise. So if you do have two dresses, wear the tighter one first. :) I can't imagine how fluffy I would get on a 7-week cruise!
critterchick Posted April 16, 2016 #8 Share Posted April 16, 2016 If I am flying to my cruise, wear everything I bring at least twice, including the formal night outfit.

NorthernLite Posted April 17, 2016 #10 Share Posted April 17, 2016 One outfit works extrememly well if you book the second night in a specialty restaurant.
july2012 Posted April 30, 2016 #11 Share Posted April 30, 2016 If you do wear same dress then if you can switch up everything else, shoes, purse, jewelry. And I agree it should not be an unusual dress, something basic. Unless you dont care if anyone else knows it is the same dress.
simplelife Posted May 1, 2016 #12 Share Posted May 1, 2016 I usually wear the same dress twice -just change up the jewelry and wraps
cb at sea Posted May 1, 2016 #13 Share Posted May 1, 2016 No one will notice what you're wearing...guaranteed! I usually bring 2 different "formal" outfits...but if you don't...no worries! It's NOT a big deal!
Rare Bound4Bermuda Posted May 1, 2016 #14 Share Posted May 1, 2016 I tend to be an overpacker, but with a 12-day Med cruise coming up, I'm going to have to rewear some things. I agree that no one would notice/care, and I'm sure lots of people rewear their outfits...I wouldn't notice either way. As was said, perhaps if you wore something super showy that you'd really stand out from everyone else then SOMEONE might remember, but does that matter? Enjoy! collegegirl92 Posted May 1, 2016 #15 Share Posted May 1, 2016 Although I haven't been to a cruise (yet!) I wouldn't think it would matter. Not unless you were wearing hot pink or neon where people would remember. Try adding differently jewelry or a wrap/jacket for the second night then no one will be able to tell at all. pcur Posted May 1, 2016 #17 Share Posted May 1, 2016 I have two 3-piece formal pantsuits I bought on ebay. I also have several alternate jackets I also bought on ebay. So, I take the shell and pants from one of the pantsuits and two jackets to wear with it. They look like completely different outfits.
