99PD Posted April 15, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2016 Hello, If you have the UBP, can you partake in the beverages in the mini-fridge? I have not sailed NCL before so I am assuming there are beverages in the room frig. :D
NLH Arizona Posted April 15, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2016 No, the items in the mini-fridge are not included in the UBP.
Sand and Seas Posted April 15, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 15, 2016 Sorry, they are not included. We always ask to have the mini-fridge emptied so we can put our own bottled water or Coke products in there. (Only Pepsi products on board, so we bring diet Coke along). Demonyte Posted April 15, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 15, 2016 (edited) Here are the terms of UBP (what is and isn't included): https://www.ncl.com/terms/ultimate-beverage-package Edited April 15, 2016 by Demonyte

99PD Posted April 16, 2016 Author #8 Share Posted April 16, 2016 Good idea to ask that the frig be emptied in order to put your own beverages in it. So they allow you to carry on a case of water and a case of Coke?

So they allow you to carry on a case of water and a case of Coke? Yes, no problems with non-alcoholic drinks in sealed containers, no limit in quantity either. In most ports you can just slap a luggage tag to a case and have it delivered straight to your cabin (at least in Tampa and NOLA porters won't accept them and you need to carry them onboard yourself). don't-use-real-name Posted April 16, 2016 #12 Share Posted April 16, 2016 I would have concern over the shelf life of some of the items in the mini-fridge. The soft drinks especially the diet drinks. The artificial sweetener breaks down quickly and flattens the drink. You might check the use by time if one is printed on the can - over 6 months - I would pass and tell the cabin steward to get rid of it. As for those gummie bears and bag of peanuts how many times have they been in and out of the fridge with folks like you and me requesting an empty mini fridge ? Check the alcohol miniatures for someone having opened - drank and replaced with a questionable liquid. And the prices of the minis - in some cases you will pay more than the fresh drink at a bar or restaurant ! NCL would do well to have the UBP include the contents of the mini-fridge as this may help reduce the lines at a bar and be a real customer pleasing thing of turnover of the shelf life and eliminate oddball junk beverages. Mini bars are expensive as they are a PITA to restock and charge to a bill, including the mini bar in the UBP would need a lot more storage room and staff to continuous restock the 2000+ cabins onboard. Also there's a lower turnover on those miniature drinks so undesirable and therefore not in place on NCL. Not common on mainstream lines, more high end but MSC does include the mini bar on some Yacht Club categories IIRC.
Ally2725 Posted June 11, 2016 #15 Share Posted June 11, 2016 (edited) Totally not trying to hijack this thread but I've looked and I can't see the info anywhere. Me and my cruise mate both have the drinks package, what happens if I go to the bar to get both my drink and my friends? Or would we have to both just get our own drinks?
