Questions on restaurants reservations and in-room dining

Hello,

We will be on the Regatta in July cruising Alaska - yay!! We are two couples traveling together each in their own cabin. We have a Penthouse and they have Concierge Veranda. We each get 1 reservation at each restaurant. We plan to dine together - can each reservation be made for 4 people (us plus them as our guests)? Or if we booked a table for 4 would it use up both of our allotments? If the former, it would seem that between us we could make 4 reservations versus 2. I understand that it may not be difficult to get additional reservations beyond the limit...but would be nice to have it firmed up.

Also, is the Penthouse large enough for the 4 of us to have a meal in the room served by our butler?

Thanks!

Patti

In post about Table for 6, StanandJim say 'whoever requests the reservation, everyone at the table uses one of their "guaranteed" nights in the Specialties.'

But still curious about hosting dinner in the Penthouse...

when you book your reservations online say NO to sharing then "add a guest" you must have their booking number to do this

you will then be seated together

each cabin will get their allotted reservation no matter when or who they dine with

You can always ask each morning at the Podium at the entrance to the Terrace if they have any openings for that evening or those in the PH suite can ask their butler to do it

I'm in agreement with those who say a PH is too small for 4 for dinner in the room. But I don't like being too cosy! When you see the room you may change your mind ... or not!

It's very do-able in an OS, OC or VS.
