PoppyandNana Posted August 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2016 What happened to X's categories on the website? I checked several itineraries and there was no cat identification, e.g. 1A and so forth. Did I not get the memo?
jelayne Posted August 10, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2016 The category designations disappeared on Sunday. Makes booking or price checking difficult at best. Thank goodness for the TA websites that operate much better.

cruisin lady ca Posted August 20, 2016 #5 Share Posted August 20, 2016 Well, I am glad to see that I am not the only one running into this new wrinkle. As of right now, the vanishing categories is still with us. Oddly enough, the category appears for an instant and is then gone before you have an opportunity to scroll to the one you want. Is anyone from Celebrity paying attention to this? Whoever changed the code needs to unflip the switch that turned it off.
BBsails Posted August 21, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 21, 2016 Ran into this for the first time today and find it very annoying. Why on earth would =X= change this intentionally? Surely it's a mistake somewhere along the line. Hope someone who can change this sees the glitch ASAP. Betsy

BEAV Posted August 21, 2016 #8 Share Posted August 21, 2016 I just use various on-line TA websites to check categories, pricing, etc.
ISABELLA Posted August 21, 2016 #9 Share Posted August 21, 2016 I think X done it intentionally -they want consumer to book by the price and not category.

AtlantaCruiser72 Posted August 22, 2016 #11 Share Posted August 22, 2016 (edited) Holland has done something similar. If you book on their website, you can select by zone (fwd/mid/aft) and by deck then they show ONLY the cabins they want to sell you on that zone/deck - none of the "good" cabins show even if they are available. I think the cruise lines are trying to fob off the less desirable cabins to unsuspecting consumers by doing this. fleckle Posted August 22, 2016 #12 Share Posted August 22, 2016 (edited) It was probably done by the same gremlin who added Jr to people's names in their profiles and periodically makes our reservations disappear. A work-around without needing to go to an outside website, if you have a copy of the deck plans, is to look up one of the cabins shown in each category on the deck plan and that way you can easily identify which category it is.
