Good to see the new rules being applied to Future Cruise bookings made on board for UK Guests.

The 2 main points are:

New Flexibility, change your reservations to suit needs ( Ship or date ) prior to final payment without any change fees.

New Price guarantee , grab a lower price if avaialable prior to final payment ( one time only)

This is good news for UK guests :D

Can you change ship and date as many times as you wish or is that limited to once as it is with the price drops.

If it is unlimited then that is a workaround on price drops. If you've already used your one price drop you could just change cruises and then change vpbackback again getting the lower price.

Good question, the flyer sent to state rooms does not clarify this.

Can you cancel before final payment date for a refund of deposit?

Yes this is good news.I booked a cruise while on board Indy just over one week ago.I paid £98 deposit for a 10 days cruise with $150 OBC and deluxe beverage package. We may need to change the cruise to 2018 and they said as long as you have not passed final payment you can change at any time without charge.

Probably not as this is against our Consumer laws and infact in UK if you place a deposit on an item you could be made to pay the full amount if you cancel your agreement but not many firms hold you to this but certainly you can loose your deposit.

Similar to US, reserve as many cabins/ships/cruises without penalty, and then pick and choose. So many cabins show as unavailable until after final payment.

Actually, it would be even better than the US since final payment under UK booking rules is 57 days (right around the time of drops). This assumes there's no restrictions.

We booked on board this summer. We paid £98 per cabin deposit. But they immediately gave us the same amount back in OBC on the cruise we were on at the time. So in effect our deposit amount was zero and we confirmed with them that we could then cancel the forthcoming cruise up to 90 days before without being liable to pay any more money. So, yes you can cancel without penalty. You get the option to have to OBC on your current cruise or the future cruise. If you choose the future cruise you don't get the OBC back if you cancel - so it's important to opt for the OBC on the current cruise.

There is no law that prevents a seller of goods and services agreeing contractual terms with you that allow you to cancel.

The arrangement between you and RCCL is governed by the contract you sign - that specifically allows you to cancel subject to the contractual penalties. RCCL could change this if they wish to no penalty cancellation, but choose not to.
