How is the hair dryer on Grandeur of the Seas?

Hello, I'm cruising out of Baltimore on 10/22 and wanted to know how good is the hair dryer in the cabins. I know that ship has been around a little))), so is the dryer modern or old as ship?)) I've been on Norwegian Crown 10 years ago - the ship was 20 years old, so was the dryer..))

Welcome to CC. The age of the drier may vary, but it should be functional and fairly up to date. If there's an issue with it, you can ask your cabin steward for a replacement.

All of the blow dryers on the ships are low wattage and you have to hold the button in ...doesnt work for my longer thick hair .. been on ships from majesty to anthem this past year all the same..

I bring my own. The dryers do get hot, but don't blow worth a damn. You will spend about double the time trying to get your hair dry, and it will NOT look as good as with a dryer that actually blows!!!

lousy, especially if you have thick, long or hair that requires actual effort.

Hairdryers on Adventure blew air, but mom said it took much longer than at home and the location in the desk drawer wasn't the best. She has short hair, so she was okay. If you have long or tick hair, you're better off bringing your own.

I do not have long or thick hair, but I have always brought my own travel dryer. It's more powerful and I don't have to hold the button down. I do not like the dryers they provide (any cruiseline).

Alternatively, wash and comb hair, sit on balcony with a big glass of wine and let your hair dry naturally.....may not look as good as with the hairdryer but after the wine who cares!

Bring your own. I have made the mistake a few times of not bringing my own, and I regretted it each time.

A good hairdryer will give you volume. Theirs, with such a low wattage can make your hair look flat, de-proofed.

I bring my handheld folding hair dryer. I didn't bring on one cruise & wore a lot of hats!
