Meeting other young adults?

I just turned 18 and I'm going on a cruise later this year. I want to meet some people my own age to hang with. What should I do?

No sure which cruise line you are considering, but your ship's daily paper (Fun Times, etc) usually had scheduled mixers for your age group.

some lines are better for your age group than others, also which country are you cruising.

18 can be tricky. Depending on the line and location of the cruise sometimes you can drink and hang out with the college crowd, but I think you will never allowed to join in the ship's teen club for 15-17, which you might prefer depending on where you are from and your personal preference. Sometimes your parents need to give you permission to drink on board.

Try joining the Roll Call for your cruise. There may be others your age there, or their parents may help you hook up.

 

Early in the cruise there is often a get together for people your age.

 

The pool seems to be a popular place

One of the meeting places seems to be the sports arranged by the cruise ship or just by hanging out around there, ping-pong table, basket ball court etc.

My 20 YO son meets others on the sports deck. When he sails with us, his only requirement is a basketball court.:)

sports deck and arcade, really quick to meet others, in fact its really hard NOT to meet new friends on a cruise.

Our older daughter always met others her age in the gym. ;)
