Does anyone know where you can watch the football games on the Eclipse.

Thanks in advance

Generally, if it is on the system, it will be available on your cabin TV as well as a couple other locations in public areas.

There is no outdoor movie screen on the Eclipse. Games will be on the tv's in the Gastro Bar and Casino bar as well as your stateroom. Usually the games to be televised are in the Celebrity Today listed under the time of day & event.

Casino Bar shows games on four screens. Passport Bar (it is most certainly not a "gastropub") shows some games on two screens. A special game might be on in Celebrity Central. And there's no guarantee it'll be the game you're after. If there's an event going on - such as an activity in the foyer, a raucous sale in the shops, etc - the audio from the game will get washed out.

But if it's on in those locations, it'll be on your TV in the stateroom, too. Channels 17 and 18 and occasionally 25. You'll enjoy the same commercials every break about cricket and the assorted European soccer leagues.

Does anyone know where Monday Night Football would potentially be shown on an M class ship (specifically the Summit). Hoping to be able to watch the game next week with other fans and not be stuck in our cabin! :) I am wondering if they use the new outdoor screens for sporting events!

Generally speaking, there isn't a huge number of games that they have on board. They don't have NFL Sunday Ticket, so the only games they tend to show are the ones on ESPN, and Monday Night Football.

That's not our experience. If you cruise during playoff season they will get Fox games as well as CBS. We watched in Celebrity Central and it was quite a popular venue. This has been for several January cruises on Eclipse.

On the same sailing (Dec 10 Summit) hoping for somewhere to watch some NFL games but not getting my hopes up as the Hawks aren't playing in primetime. I know the Jewel last year they put a buffet together for the playoffs and made it a great party atmosphere in the sportsbar near the casino. Having sailed the Summit before I can't really think of where they'd show it other than the tiny casino bar, although the dream would be on the new outdoor screen on the top deck.

See you on board gohawks!

Hi Darcie:)...back in the day your post would be correct.....but more

currently they do show games that are on other networks here at home

and put the feed through ESPN.....I have seen games that would normally

be on CBS or FOX (and of course on ESPN too).

Good to see you:)

I'm currently on the Equinox and they are showing Monday night Football in Celebrity Cebtral, Casino and GastroBar. Satellite permitting, of course.

How's the ship? I haven't sailed her since 2012:eek: and am thinking

of a 10 nighter in March:)

I was recently on the Infinity, and they showed both the World Series and Monday Night Football on the big screen outside. Also at Casino Bar.

Lois,

Your statement is correct. We were on Reflection at Thanksgiving, and we saw almost all of the games we wanted to see. But, for some of the games, they could not have the play-by- play announcers because of broadcast rights, or something like that. So, on a couple of the games, we just had the crowd noise. :)

My .02. Take nothing for granted. I recommend checking with guest services and or Captain's club on board well in advance of any football game.

By way of example on our recent Reflection WB TA, there were no plans or arrangements with any satellite provider to broadcast the World Series anywhere on board. There was almost a passenger mutiny. The good news is Celebrity quickly came up with a solution to stream the games and had late night showings in Celebrity Central. Very popular events.

Hi, Lois. She is in tip top shape, absolutely beautiful, IMHO. we are winding down our 11 night now. Aside from not wanting to leave on Friday, we have no complaints and many delights. Our new favorite experience is Silent Disco!
