Ship - Carnival Horizon

Deck - 11

Stateroom # - 11273

Stateroom Category – 8G

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Surprisingly, yes, very quiet, unless you're on the balcony during a Lido deck party.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – No obstructions

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal sized included a standard chair and a reclining back chair (not a lounger)

Was wind a problem? - Yes, one night during our southbound leg, we were woken by a whistling coming from the balcony door.  I got up and pulled the door shut and set the locking latch, but, that was not quite enough to totally silence the noise but it was reduced enough for us to sleep.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - Not an aft cabin

Any specific problems with this cabin? - No additional issues

Any other comments? - The closest door to the cabin required us to walk through the smoking area on Deck 11 that overlooked the Lido pool area.  Any time the door opened, a pall of smoke would waft down the hallway.  I felt sorry for the guests in the cabins immediately adjacent to this door as they would have been the victims of the smokers outside.

Ship - Panorama

Deck - 7

Stateroom # - 7269

Stateroom Category – 8C, balcony, ambulatory accessible

Starboard or Port Side - starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – not consistently. The corner of the cabin by the balcony door was squeaky throughout. The balcony partitions rattled like crazy, until my spouse rigged up a fix. Noise from people getting off the elevator was minimal; however the proximity to Sky Zone and the teen club meant groups of teens hanging out on the stairs, and they were rather noisy.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - no

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – no obstruction. Balcony overlooks deck 5, so you don’t look straight down to the water, but not an annoyance. Do note that this section of deck 5 is a smoking area, in case that might bother you. I’m pretty sensitive to smoke and it didn’t bother me at all, except for one guy’s nightly cigar.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - normal

Was wind a problem? - yes, on all sea days. Partitions rattled like crazy; they really should put something so that it’s not metal on metal.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - n/a

Any specific problems with this cabin? - already mentioned.

Any other comments? - room is designated ambulatory accessible, so it has a fold-down shower seat. My spouse is an amputee, so this is an important safety feature. However, for some reason the door to the bathroom only opened about 75° and the step up is at least 6”, so him getting into and out of the bathroom when his leg was off was challenging. Beware if this might be problematic for you or your partner. Also, cabin door did not close properly if you were gentle; it looked closed but one push opened it. A solid yank after closing was needed. Many others in my Facebook group commented on having the same issue.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – No obstructions. Great view.

Any specific problems with this cabin? - The bed is in the middle of the room.  We were a party of 4 and were stepping over each other quite a bit.

Any other comments? - New shower glass door is great.  Midship location - busy elevators.  But elevators and stairs are really close - no noise.

Ship - Elation

Deck - 5

Stateroom # - M45

Stateroom Category – interior, no port hole

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Yes!  Very quiet and dark.  Great for sleeping!  Not much foot traffic in that area of ship.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - N/A

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - N/A

Was wind a problem? - No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - n/a

Any specific problems with this cabin? - None

Any other comments? - Great location!  Only 2 decks up to lobby bar - easily walkable up/down steps.  3 decks up to main dining and piano bar.  Cabin has 2 twin beds/1 king and upper pullman.  Plenty of room for me and my 2 daughters, but the wood supports that come down from the ceiling for the pullman bed waste some otherwise useable space.

Just got off the Carnival Sunshine room 9122 , panoramic window . Our window was completely fogged and apparently can only be repaired during dry dock . We checked with the cabins surrounding us and no one else had a window with that issue . Just wanted to give folks a heads up to avoid if you want to have a view .

Ship - Carnival Celebration

Deck - 10

Stateroom # - 499 (10499)

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom?  Yes, very quiet.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom?

Balcony View -  Hot tubs two decks down- annoying if you want quiet time on your own balcony (depending on who is in the hot tub) Aside from that, Great view. Had the divider removed between 499 and 497 (family next door) made a huge difference in accessibility.

Balcony Size? Normal

Was wind a problem? - No.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - NA

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Biggest issue was the obnoxious ppl in the hot tub outside. But inside, it’s very quiet. No hall noise. Close to ALL the aft dining. Lots of closet space, lots of drawers - loved the new shows doors. Spacious bathroom - Has a couch that will turn into a bed. Not much room around bed and wall though.

Ship - Carnival Spirit

Deck - 4

Stateroom # - 4229 & 4231

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? Yes, very quiet, in spite of being directly above main dining room.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom?

No, but we opened the balcony barrier between the two

Balcony View - terrific, straight out to ocean

Balcony Size? Normal

Was wind a problem? - No.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - NA

Any specific problems with this cabin? - none

Any other comments?

The two rooms were mirror image of each other. 42321 had "sofa bed" for our third person in that room; teenage son couldn't tell the difference from the other two single beds in the room. The bed was already made when we arrived.

Very convenient to main dining room. Great location. Would rebook!

Ship - Breeze

Deck - 1

Stateroom # - 1246 & 1248

Stateroom Category – 6M deluxe ocean view

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Mostly.  1246 is directly above a gangway so you can hear when it's being pulled out and laid down in port from both rooms, and we could hear the rolling of luggage carts below us the night before debarkation.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - yes; 1246 and 1248 connect to each other.  Both connecting doors worked just fine and were held open by magnets on the backside.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – not a balcony, but there is a large window in each room with a very deep ledge.  Perfect for sitting or displaying towel animals as my kids liked to do.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - n/a

Was wind a problem? - n/a

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - n/a

Any specific problems with this cabin? - In 1248, the secondary light switch by the bed didn't work so the overhead lights had to be turned off or on by the door.  The bathroom with the shower in 1246 reeked horribly of mold, and that bathroom door also wouldn't latch closed.  We had to jimmy around and secure it directly with the lock when using it.

Any other comments? - 1246 is directly off the elevators (meaning 1248 is one door around the corner), but the only hallway noise was during port day when people were trying to get to deck 0 to get into Cozumel.  Both rooms have an extra sink and bathtub which is very deep, and there is also a shower head so it's not limited to just baths.

Ship - Carnival Breeze

Deck - 6

Stateroom # - 6403

Stateroom Category – Balcony

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Yes

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Not really an unobstructed view, given that deck 5 is further out. Also, people would smoke on deck 5, even though that was not the side allowed. Guys Pig restaurant is to the right below this balcony, and you had a strong bbq smell during lunch hours.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal

Was wind a problem? - No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - No

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Balcony door didn't latch closed. Needed to throw the bolt. Light in cabin and above sink were burned out. Balcony was dirty!

Ship - Carnival Mardi Gras

Deck - 11

Stateroom # - 11480

Stateroom Category – Balcony

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Quiet Stateroom? Yes

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Good view but lower decks did stick out some. Couldn't see directly down into the water.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Oversized but same price as nearby cabins with standard size balcony.

Was wind a problem? - Sometimes. When wind was bad you could sit back near the sliding door and be out of the wind. Some days not windy at all.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - Not aft

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Privacy could be an issue when you stood all the way out along the rail. the cabins near you and forward could see into the front half of the balcony but not back near the sliding doors. I could also see onto their balconies. If I wanted privacy I could sit back near the door. I liked the balcony for the size though. There were 2 loungers and 2 regular chairs and a small table out there.

One picture below shows how it looks from inside the cabin and the other picture shows how it looked taken from my friends cabin which was further forward. It's one of the cabins with the rounded corner and it's actually much deeper than it looks. It goes back behind the divider of the cabin just forward of it so that is where you can have privacy. I didn't take many picture showing how it really looks but if you look on youtube, there is a good video that someone else took when they were in this cabin. I would book this cabin again.

Ship - Carnival Panorama

Deck - 2

Stateroom # - 2294

Stateroom Category – Cove Balcony

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – The stateroom was very quiet.  We had no noise from the dining room above.  The room is closer to being under Guest Services.  Easy walk to the front stairs/elevators.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – This Cove Balcony did not have a lifeboat directly above.  Some overhead obstruction when looking forward or aft due to other lifeboats but it was really not an issue.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal Cove Balcony

Was wind a problem? - No.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - none

Any other comments? - Would stay in this room again! Loved it.

Ship - Panorama

Deck - 5 (Havana)

Stateroom Category – Havana Interior

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Yes

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - NA

Was wind a problem? - NA

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - NA

Any specific problems with this cabin? - not a problem specifically, but the TV is on the wall beside the bed rather than in front of the bed.

Any other comments? Layout is sideways, which made it feel more roomy. Additionally, the layout means the desk with the plug-ins is on the same wall as the head of the bed... it's much easier to string an extension cord or power bar without it going across the floor and becoming a tripping hazard. I was worried that being behind the elevators would be noisy, but we heard nothing.
