Ship  Spirit

Deck - 8 Panorama

Cabin - 8268

Category - Vista Suite

Quiet Yes

Connecting - no

Balcony aft and port side- no wind issues aft but rounding the corner to port view, definite wind and temp change

Serenity deck immediately above.  No real privacy on any of the aft cabins due to the tiered design.

tub has very high edges-whirlpool tub- so challenging to enter/exit.  No Other issues with cabin.  Loved the extra room with walk in closet and separate bedroom.  perfect for longer cruises.

Great location for access to lido buffet and serenity coffee bar.

Ship is on the smaller side so not an issue getting anywhere

Ship -   ELATION

Deck - V

Stateroom # - V9

Stateroom Category – JUNIOR SUITE

Starboard or Port Side – PORT SIDE

Quiet Stateroom? – YES

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - NO

Balcony View – THESE JR SUITES ARE FWD ON THE SHIP, AND THE VIEW BASICALLY IS THE LIFEBOAT FLOATS ON THE LOWER DECK, YOU DO SEE THE WATER, HOWEVER, YOU CANNOT LOOK STRAIGHT DOWN AND SEE THE WATER.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? – SMALLER.  IT WAS LARGE ENOUGH FOR 2 DECK CHAIRS AND A TABLE, HOWEVER YOU HAD TO WALK “CRAB STYLE” TO GET TO A CHAIR.

Was wind a problem? - NO

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? – N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? – NONE – THIS JR SUITE IS THE SAME LAYOUT AS A STANDARD BALCONY ON A LARGER SHIP.

Any other comments? -  WE VERY MUCH ENJOYED OUR 5-DAY CRUISE, AND ENJOYED THE SIZE OF THE SHIP.

ship: Panorama

Deck: 6

cat: interior

Cabin: 6311

Avoid this room!  It is very noisy. It creeks and makes noise like a 100-year-old house. With the arcade and kids club on deck 6 there are kids in the hallway all the time.

I would avoid deck 6 on this ship.

Ship:  Carnival Radiance

Deck 7

Cat:  Balcony (8B)

Cabin:  7388  (not connecting)

This room was cramped for 2 people.  The beds were about 6 inches apart, no nightstands.  I was surprised that this cabin was so much smaller than a balcony cabin on the Panorama.  Even though it is close to an elevator it was quiet.

Ship: Carnival Spirit

Deck: 7

Cat: 8K  Extended Balcony

Cabin: 7233

Starboard side

Very quiet, non-connecting room with couch and table.  The balcony was larger than normal with 2 chairs and a table and ample leg room so you weren't cramped.  It had an unobstructed view, a big overhang that provided wonderful shade and good wind protection depending on your direction of travel.  As long as the balcony door was double locked there was not whistling wind noise. The location was near the midship elevators so it was an easy 2 deck ride up to dining in the Lido buffet.  Our only complaint is the lack of outlets.  There is only one on the desk so we had to unplug our clock every time we wanted to charge the phones or use the curling iron. I suggest bringing an extension cord or multiplug.  We would book this room again.

Ship - Panorama

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – This cabin was very quiet, we didn't hear noise from adjacent cabins or the deck above.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Good View, no obstructions. Deck 5 is further out from Deck 7 so you can't look directly down to the ocean.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal. 2 Small chairs and a little side table.

Was wind a problem? - No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - No, everything worked fine.

Ship - Magic

Deck - 7

Stateroom - 7434

Category - 4E Interior

Port Side

This cabin creaked badly to the point we needed earplugs to sleep at night. The greater the ship motion the more noise.  Maintenance tried placing shims between the walls and a few of the ceiling panels but it didn't improve anything.  It was unfortunate because the cabin was very conveniently located near the elevator with easy access to the Lido buffet and rear deck area.  I would suggest only people who can sleep through anything book this cabin.

Ship - Breeze

Deck 9

Stateroom 9475

Corner aft cabin

Category

Starboard

Wraparound balcony

Unusually shaped room, not a lot of walking room when moving around the cabin.

Bathroom was tucked away around a corner of the room.

No room for a couch, only a small coffee table.

The balcony was a very skinny wraparound, with the door set in the middle.

2 lounge chairs, 2 regular chairs, 2 small end tables.

Again, not much room for 2 people to pass by each other on this thin balcony.

Difficult to squeeze past the chairs, especially the loungers, to go to another area of the balcony.

I believe the corner afts below us were a bit wider.

This one was also very shaded by the overhang from the lido deck above.
No soot.

Only one deck up to to Lido pools, buffet.

Long walk to the Serenity deck & spa at the front of the ship.

Convenient to go 4 decks down to the piano bar, & comedy club.

Ship - Mardi Gras

Deck - 17

Stateroom # - 17249

Stateroom Category – 8P (Spa Balcony)

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? – somewhat... can hear if deck chairs on Serenity are being moved around; also is a connecting room so we can hear our neighbors chatting and singing 😯 (no sound from the other side so assume it's only because of the connecting doors)

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - yes

Balcony View – Highest available on this ship, excellent view, no obstructions.

Balcony Size? Normal; includes two chairs and a table.

Was wind a problem? - No wind issues.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - n/a

Any specific problems with this cabin? - shoe drawer in the closet is starting to rub

Any other comments? - bed is beside the balcony door, not the bathroom; lots of storage space; dedicated elevator from deck 17 to 5 for thermal suite is really handy... we even used it more than once to return to the room after dinner or shows by walking down to deck 5... saves having to wait with crowds for the elevators.

Does anyone know if Panorama, deck 8, 8472 or 8467 (Corner Aft Havana) beds can be made into 2 separate beds or will there not be room to move around and access bathroom?
Have watched videos and this room is way smaller and weird angle than the same room on other decks and bed always the queen.

Any soot on balconies on deck 8?
which is best biggest aft Havana balcony room.  Are balcony rooms on deck 8 aft smaller/narrower than other aft balcony rooms (Havana).

Thanks,

Ship - Horizon

Deck - 5

Stateroom # 5208

Stateroom Category – Havana interior

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? – Yes

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View – N/A

Balcony Size? N/A

Was wind a problem? - N/A

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - no

Any other comments? - This one of 2 “sideways” Havana interiors.  The room felt bigger because of the configuration.

Couple of small drawbacks:  TV is to the left of the bed, which means one has to lie to one’s side to watch.  Closets are right up against the wall, across from the bathroom.  The last closet opens in to the room, which means things are a little tight.

Ship - Panorama

Deck - 7

Stateroom # - 7342

Stateroom Category – Balcony

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Yes, However plenty of slamming doors in the hallway with both Balcony and doors.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? -No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Decent view, Can see directly down into Pig and Anchor on deck 5. The cabin is located nearly in the center of the ship so the cabin seems to not move when the ship is spinning in port.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal

Was wind a problem? - Some, On the last day of the cruise got a 55mph wind from the front of the ship. Otherwise no problem

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - n/a

Any specific problems with this cabin? - none

Any other comments? - The Cabin is located incredibly close to the stair/elevator well but was still quiet. The cabin is located far enough from the trampoline area that there is no noise from it. Plenty of close space for three people in the cabin.

Ship - Vista

Deck - 2

Stateroom # - 2410

Stateroom Category – Suite

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – No, we were under the galley and there was a lot of banging in the middle of the night. I had earplugs in so I was able to sleep mostly, but my husband didn't.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Great view

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Cove balcony with 4 chairs and 2 side tables

Was wind a problem? - No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - n/a

Any specific problems with this cabin? - The galley noise was the biggest issue, though my kids who were staying in the room as well said they didn't hear it. It may have just been over our bed.

Any other comments? - This was a Family Harbor cabin and we were right across from the Family Harbor area which was very convenient for ice/water and snacks. Having 2 different bathrooms were nice, but would have appreciated two toilets instead of two showers.
