WahooNKS Posted February 8, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2017 Can anyone tell me what kind of champagne Oceania provides in suites upon embarkation? If it's a decent one, I won't bother bringing our own on board.
Mura Posted February 8, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 8, 2017 I don't recall the exact labels plus I suspect they aren't necessarily always the same. I also believe it depends on what level of suite you are in. A PH will have a different bottle than an Owner's Suite. If it is important to you, I'd bring my own. We aren't particularly champagne drinkers so we've always been satisfied, even when in a PH. Mura

Not Crystal or Dom but pretty good. Always drink it as we unpack. I guess a toast for our upcoming trip. Seems to be good luck for us. We thank O for it. :):):)
Twiga Posted February 9, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 9, 2017 We were on the Regatta very recently, in December 2016, in a Penthouse cabin. The champagne was Jacquart from France. I do not have any more information as this is all I could see from a photo I took shortly after arriving in our cabin. The champagne was very nice. Paulchili Posted February 9, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 9, 2017 We had the same in Concierge Yes - and the named suites (OS, VS and OC) get Veuve Clicquot I believe.
Rare What A Market Posted February 9, 2017 #7 Share Posted February 9, 2017 Just off the Marina. We received a bottle of Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut with our Vista Suite. Tasty!
Rare LHT28 Posted February 9, 2017 #8 Share Posted February 9, 2017 Darn now I have to book a top suite :D Perrier is my favourite
JMBobB Posted February 9, 2017 #9 Share Posted February 9, 2017 SWMbI prefers Toad Hollow Risqué - it's rather sweet and makes a good mimosa. My taste tends to run to most things brut. But regardless it's not worth hauling it in luggage to the ship... Last cruise our butler brought us four bottles of Jacquart (gratis!) during a b2b and we 'forced' ourselves to drink three of them. Life is just one trial after another sometimes. JMBobB Sent from my iPad using Forums
WahooNKS Posted February 9, 2017 Author #10 Share Posted February 9, 2017 Thanks for the tips and info. I'm not a champagne snob, so I'm sure whatever they offer will be just fine! :)
Flatbush Flyer Posted February 11, 2017 #11 Share Posted February 11, 2017 Among its wine-by-glass choices, O has Shramsburg Mirabelle. This is a little gem among low/mid-priced California sparklers. However, the word has gotten out and the ships often run out of it. Maybe if what you get as a perk is forgettable, you can trade for the Mirabelle. RJB Posted February 11, 2017 #12 Share Posted February 11, 2017 Sorry you had to go thru that and drink that much. We would have helped out if we had known. Next time.
