jandjcruisers Posted March 2, 2017 #26 Share Posted March 2, 2017 Does anyone know if cabin 12604 is a wheelchair accessible cabin? I have googled it and it Mr Google tells me this to be true on a couple websites. We have been assigned this cabin for May and don't need the accessibility cabin. I booked it as a guarantee. My worry is that they might give it to someone who does need it. This would be great but in doing so they might give us a cabin in a less desirable area at the last minute and that concerns me. Thanks.
Rare mizLORInj Posted March 3, 2017 #27 Share Posted March 3, 2017 Deck 10 on Anthem. I gathered this info while we were on Anthem in November with a late debarkation -- so many cabin doors were open. I also posted this in the Sticky thread at the top of the RC cabin compilation page. I have to say we used to prefer it by the balcony, but this time we had the bed by the bathroom and we grew to like it too. Not sure it would matter to us anymore, but I do understand that people have their preferences. port side 10158 balcony 10170 balcony 10184 bathroom 10198 balcony 10200 bathroom 10246 bathroom 10250 bathroom 10254 bathroom 10256 balcony 10260 balcony 10262 bath 10264 balcony 10266 bathroom 10268 balcony 10270 bathroom 10272 balcony 10274 bathroom 10278 bathroom 10280 balcony 10284 balcony 10286 bathroom 10288 balcony 10290 bathroom 10292 balcony 10296 balcony 10298 bathroom 10300 balcony 10304 balcony 10306 bathroom 10312 balcony 10314 bathroom 10318 bathroom starboard 10646 balcony 10652 balcony 10666 balcony 10678 balcony 10682 balcony 10696 balcony 10704 bathroom
WeatherFx Posted March 3, 2017 #28 Share Posted March 3, 2017 We are on anthem now and I know the cabins on either side of us have sleep sofas. I will try to look in the next time I see the door open. We are in 8142 and we do not have a sofabed. Our bed is by the balcony. How is the noise at night? We had 8142 for a 12N November 27th and this room creaked and clacked so much it kept me awake half the night. 8142 Bed by Balcony 8310 Bed by Bathroom

You can go to the RC Website, then to the specific ship, then to deck plans, then to the date range and there is an underlined sentence - View Accessible Stateroom. maggie416 Posted May 3, 2017 #37 Share Posted May 3, 2017 On Oasis class ships, when you have connecting rooms, the room on the right (facing the doors) has the bed by the balcony. "Right is right". Count over from there. On The Anthem the room on the right of the connecting rooms, the bed is not by the balcony. Second time on the Anthem bed not by the balcony, next year it is, room 12248 Marg

luckyinpa Posted May 5, 2017 #43 Share Posted May 5, 2017 so you are on board now. very cool. any chance pic of 9650 hallway in relation to the elevator? just dont know if is a good choice for a cabin being so close.
Tee & Chilli Posted May 5, 2017 #44 Share Posted May 5, 2017 9650 is 5 cabins as you enter the hallway. Here's a pic I snapped while the cabin was being made up. The bed is by the balcony. There are aft elevators on both sides of the lobby. If you're getting off the glass elevators, you'll turn right. 9644 is the first cabin and 9650 is 5 cabins down. Hi there! We were on 8650 (directly below 9650) this past December, and it was very convenient to the elevators but not noisy at all, although we are fairly early risers, so we were out and about before many other people on the ship started making noise. You didn't ask this, but in case you want to know, the bed was by the balcony. Have a great cruise, and don't miss out on the kummelweck sandwiches at the Cafe @ Two70 on Anthem. Both the sandwiches and the views from and around Two70 are experiences to be savored! And Anthem's Solarium pools and hot tubs are the best place to lounge with a drink even in the cold of December in NY.
luckyinpa Posted May 5, 2017 #46 Share Posted May 5, 2017 TY for info about that cabin. i love seeing 1st hand pics. esp good to know bed situation. do you think all the x650s are the same angled balcony? i may have to switch my cruise dates and need to find another cabin. Arzeena Posted May 5, 2017 #47 Share Posted May 5, 2017 Creakiest cabin we have ever sailed! Both balcony dividers bang too. My DH was able to wedge some paper in the latch to stop those at least. LOL!:D We bring duct tape for balcony dividers, but have no solution for the (sometimes) banging interiors. We just groan and get used to it by day 5. Look at the list you quoted for deck 10, almost every cabin they listed on the port side is a cabin for 2. The cabins are in pairs with two doors directly beside each other. The cabin on the right, bed is by bathroom, cabin on left, bed is by balcony. You find a pair of connecting cabins and then count in pairs from there. The issue comes with the weird turns the corridors take on Anthem. I am not sure how those cabins fall in the scheme. A lot of the corners have larger cabins so they don't fit this model at all.
