akl432 Posted March 2, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2017 Hello everyone! I am a very infrequent poster, so please be patient with me :) We have main dining at 5:30pm on the Oasis. Would we have enough time to make the 7:30pm Oasis of Dreams aqua show? I have read that it is recommended to show up 30-45 at the venue minutes early, even with a reservation. Would the 7:30 show do-able, or would a later 9:30pm show be our only option? My parents go to bed very early, and 9:30pm is late for them, which is why we would prefer the 7:30 show if at all possible. Thanks in advance for your input! Clarea Posted March 2, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2017 If you are only a party of 2 or 4, you should be able to make it if you tell your waiter you want to be finished by 7pm.
Merion_Mom Posted March 2, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 2, 2017 I would push your waiter to get you out of there in an hour. People line up early for the aqua show. I would want to get there as early as possible, not just "make it there." :)
nhraformula00 Posted March 2, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 2, 2017 Dinner usually takes about 2 hours.I would do the later show.
Seany527 Posted March 3, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 3, 2017 On Harmony....how early do you recommend you drive for Grease if you want a very good, close seat.
cb at sea Posted March 3, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 3, 2017 If you want "front row", the you better get there when they open the doors. But, most of the seats have great views...
dd likes to cruise Posted March 3, 2017 #7 Share Posted March 3, 2017 I was just on the Oasis and many nights we ate in just over an hour. We were 2, but 4 can be done also. Arrive at dinner a few minutes early also, that helps. And do remind them you need out fast that night.
FireStation46 Posted March 3, 2017 #8 Share Posted March 3, 2017 If you are suite class you can reserve now so you dint have to line up. Enjoy your show
Ashland Posted March 3, 2017 #9 Share Posted March 3, 2017 Hopefully you have requested a table for just the 4 of you for your cruise if you're doing the MDR. If you are seated at a large table with other diners that could significantly slow things down. You might even opt to eat at the WJ that night so you can get to the Aqua Theater asap. Or have you considered opting for MTD instead of MDR that would give you more flexibility as far as timing and table size each night.

FireStation46 Posted March 3, 2017 #11 Share Posted March 3, 2017 Or just have room service deliver a meal fior a small additional fee to your cabin.
Merion_Mom Posted March 3, 2017 #12 Share Posted March 3, 2017 If you are suite class you can reserve now so you dint have to line up. Enjoy your show Unless you are in Star Class, and have a genie, everyone lines up. There are no reserved seats. There is a reserved seating section for suites but it fills up fast, too. And no one gets in before they open the "gate". (nonexistent gate, but it's closed until they let people in)
akl432 Posted March 3, 2017 Author #13 Share Posted March 3, 2017 THank you for the responses! We have requested a table for 4, but it sounds like we would be rushed and stressed to just barely "make it there." I think we will go with the 9:30 Oasis of Dreams show, per your recommendations. How early do you recommend getting to the aqua theater (with a reservation) for the 9:30pm show? Thank you!
FireStation46 Posted March 3, 2017 #14 Share Posted March 3, 2017 No waiting in CK or room service at suite level We also booked a few nights at the speciality restaurants just for a change of pace/venue
BettyLou260 Posted March 3, 2017 #15 Share Posted March 3, 2017 If you want to keep your 7:30 reservations, your server can help you get out of there quickly. Just going heavy on appetizers and salads may work, and you can always stop by the WJ after the show for a snack if you are still hungry. :)
