DKobler Posted March 24, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2017 When looking at deck plans for the Caribbean Princess I am asked for cruise date - Before March 25, 2107 or after. Is the ship in for refurbish or minor maintenance and how will this effect the deck plans?
joepeka Posted March 24, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 24, 2017 Yes, Caribbean Princess is going into dry dock/maintenance in Freeport from 3/26 until 4/6 so that's why you're getting that constraint on sail dates. I believe they are re-configuring some cabins to be connecting which would change the deck plan diagrams somewhat.

KruzeKrazy! Posted March 25, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 25, 2017 And sometimes there is a re-pricing of some cabins from the before to the after dates...
casofilia Posted March 25, 2017 #7 Share Posted March 25, 2017 The link is to:- During a two-week multimillion-dollar refurbishment beginning later this month, Caribbean Princess will receive a completely redone kids club and the necessary upgrades to accommodate Carnival Corp.'s new Ocean Medallion concept. Caribbean Princess will be one of the first three ships to debut the medallions, wearable technology discs that will begin to roll out next year and could eventually replace keycards for stateroom access and onboard purchases on all of Carnival Corp.'s ships (including those in the Princess, Carnival and Holland America fleets). In addition to medallion functionality, the 13-year-old 3,080-passenger ship will also house an outpost of Princess' new Camp Discovery, a revamped kids club that leverages the line's partnership with the Discovery brand to offer educational but fun programming that often ties in with the ship's itinerary. The dry dock, which will take place in Freeport from March 26 to April 6, will also upgrade Caribbean Princess' Movies Under the Stars experience, bring Princess Luxury Beds to all staterooms and add interconnecting cabins for families and other groups traveling together. In a statement, Princess said the refurb will also include food and beverage updates, which have not yet been announced.

caribill Posted March 25, 2017 #9 Share Posted March 25, 2017 When looking at deck plans for the Caribbean Princess I am asked for cruise date - Before March 25, 2017 or after. Is the ship in for refurbish or minor maintenance and how will this effect the deck plans? The newer deck plans will mainly show the changed categories for the Club Class cabins.
