FYI Mark Brignone has left the Zaandam and the CD is now a guy named Mario. He has an understudy that Mario says will be Zaandam's next CD.

If it's the same Mario as we had on the Nieuw Amsterdam for our T-A in 2014, he's awesome - we'd love to sail with him again. Sorry I can't say the same for another one who always ended his announcements with the most annoying "woo hoo". That got old real fast.

It is probably Mario Vines, He was on our 35-day Hawaii/So Pac cruise on Westy last spring. Very energetic and funny, despite 2 missed ports and 2 itinerary changes, he and his straight-man - Capt van Eerten - kept the whole cruise upbeat and laughing.

Yes, it is Mario Vines - an awesome CD. I wasn't going to mention names, but was pretty sure the Woo Hoo would spark a few memories.
