B2B Question on Celebrity??

Hi All, We are thinking of Doing a Back to Back on The Equinox in Jan 2019. I have only done this once before on The Allure. How does Celebrity handle this? I will try to book the same room. On Royal, we were escorted off, then back on and treated to a nice Lunch in their Italian Restaurant. Thanks for any Feedback!!!

It's pretty much similar. Do a search of Cruise Critic and you can read dozens of posts detailing the procedures passengers have experienced.

Procedures vary a bit depending on where the ship is and also how many B2B cruisers.

For our B2B this past Feb. on the Equinox we were escorted off, walked across the pavement and stood under an awning (raining) and within 5 minutes checked back in. Very easy!

On the Solstice for a b3b docked in Hawaii, we were told we had to leave the ship for 5 hours. No reason given. There was a special line for re-boarding but suites were in the same line so we had to wait about 20 minutes.

As others have said, it depends on the port. In Civitavecchia, we never left the ship. Just went to the Sky Lounge, turned in old seapass card, picked up new card and we were done. Our cabin steward obviously knew we were staying on and did some deep cleaning the day before. And he cleaned up our cabin early so we could hang out there if we wanted. But whether you have to get off or not is based on the rules of the authorities.

B2B on Celebrity there is an additional credit for both cruises - $50 for 7-9 days and $100 for 10 or more days. Ask up front for it if your agent doesn't apply it!

Does this apply if you are sailing on one Celebrity ship and then switch to a different Celebrity ship on same day? Or is it only of you stay B2B on the same ship?

Who do ask for the B2B on board credit? Your travel agent or Celebrity directly.

a) It is not OBC. It is a discount on the cruise price.

 

b) You ask the person you booked with. Your TA if your booking is with a TA. Celebrity if your booking is directly with Celebrity.

But - has anyone received this discount if the B2B is on 2 different Celebrity ships ?
