Rare teacherman Posted April 4, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2017 We are going on the Vision of the Seas in June. We have been on this ship twice previously and enjoyed our cruises. I have just been reading the latest "reviews" which are mainly negative. I take them with a grain of salt, as many passengers obviously did not do any research and did not know that Vision is a smaller, older ship, and cannot be compared to something like the Allure. BUT, many people mention that there was only one bar of soap in the cabin and no soap or shampoo provided for the showers unless you asked. Is this standard policy on that ship? We have never experienced that on ANY ship. Just wondering if we should be taking our own.
Clarea Posted April 4, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2017 Take your own. The last couple of cruises we've had on Vision did not have any dispensers of shampoo/conditioner in the shower. Only the two bars of soap.
Biker19 Posted April 4, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 4, 2017 The last couple of cruises we've had on Vision did not have any dispensers of shampoo/conditioner in the shower. They are already taking them out in anticipation of selling the ship.

Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted April 4, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 4, 2017 Are there dispensers on the Harmony?
Debitoo Posted April 4, 2017 #6 Share Posted April 4, 2017 Are there dispensers on the Harmony? Yes, they have mystery liquid dispensers in the showers.
Rare FionaMG Posted April 4, 2017 #7 Share Posted April 4, 2017 Yes, they have mystery liquid dispensers in the showers. It is a multipurpose "sort-of-soapish" stuff that is a death sentence for hair! So you're probably better bringing your own anyway.

I've actually never had a problem with it. DH always brings his own.
Rare little britain Posted April 4, 2017 #9 Share Posted April 4, 2017 Having been on Vision twice in the past month ( and I didn't write a negative review....) I confirm that there is no tub of gloop in the shower. You get one bar of soap for the sink and another for the shower. That's it. Ps; As d+ I did get the other little tubes of lotion/conditioner/shampoo etc on both cruises. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
cb at sea Posted April 4, 2017 #10 Share Posted April 4, 2017 Just bring what works for you..that's the easiest thing! I always bring a regular bar of soap, and all my hair and body stuff...and a hair dryer.... If you're a man..ignore that advice. Men can "make do" with what is provided. Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted April 4, 2017 #11 Share Posted April 4, 2017 But is it decent body shower gel? I never put that in my hair lol
tomatecerise Posted April 4, 2017 #12 Share Posted April 4, 2017 Bring your own shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The mini bar soap is greasy and not smell good
