Cruiseboy in Hawaii ~ Live from Radiance of the Seas (5/5/17)

Next day I did the Pearl Harbor Remembered tour with E Noa Tours. This really is a great option vs doing Pearl Harbor yourself. Tickets for the Arizona memorial are reserved for you. My group had an 8:45 ticket to the Arizona memorial so I had a little time to wander around the Visitor Center and explore the various exhibits. No time to Visit the USS Bowfin (next time)

I really enjoyed following your travels.

Loved your review as well as pictures.

We have been to Hawaii 8 times, and have had the opportunity to see the original welcome center for Pearl Harbor (the one that was sinking) as well as one of the first to go through the new one.

Both were very emotional to us.

I was able to fly my fathers flag up the flag pole at the Arizona Memorial, what a tribute.

Although my father was not on the Arizona, he fought two years in WWII and the Navy permitted this show of respect for a veterans family.

Thanks again for bringing back great memories.

Safe travels.

Thank you sharing that story and thank you for your fathers service.

Pearl Harbor is an extremely emotional experience. Even more so for those who have served. It's must do in Oahu.

For my last evening in Oahu (day before cruise) I decided to do a Luau. I have heard great things about the one in Lahaina but didn't have the time to do it on this trip so I did some research in Oahu and decided to go with Chief's Luau. It was an amazing show, the food not so much but I understand this is typical of a Luau. I would recommend Chief's if you're traveling to Oahu. Transportation was available (for a fee of course) from Waikiki which was pretty much the selling point for me since I opted not to rent a car in Oahu. Overall it was a wonderful evening and really enjoy the show. I did run to an ABC store afterwards for a little snack lol.
