Oasis of the Seas Incident

Recommended Posts

I'm on oasis of the seas now and we had an emergency incident where both sides of floor 8 was closed. Does anyone know what happened?

We had heard something about a jumper. However, it seems to have been a inside balcony one level above Johnny Rockets. And now they have a padlock on the cabin. Since we are currently in the middle of the ocean, I assume the family was not escorted off the ship.

Why don't you ask a crewmember?

Why ask here???

Maybe bc CC seems to be the source of so many answers in the past, couldn't hurt to try.

I'm sure the OP regrets it after some of the follow up comments.

No kidding! Some people just can't wait to post snarky comments and seem to at every opportunity. It seems perfectly reasonable that someone on cruise critic might know whats going on. There might be others on Oasis that could post information or details. I would probably have done the same thing if I were onboard and looking for more information.

I searched the Internet but didn't come up with anything. I agree with OP, if you want an answer, and the crew's not talking, go to the boards at CC.

You are right it was a perfectly reasonable question to ask.

Maybe because there are plenty of people who post to these boards from aboard the ships or have relatives aboard the ships who might have provided some information? Funny thing about this website, some of the people who post to it actually go on cruises.

All our room steward is saying is that he heard it was a medical emergency. However, the room still has a padlock on the door. Which makes a medical emergency seem unusual. And we were not allowed to even go down the hallway during the incident. Nor were people allowed to leave their cabins. Thanks for some of the positive responses. I know many cruisers do live posts. So I thought someone on the ship may have more information.

Room may be padlocked because there's something highly contagious in there. People have been removed from ship I hope and they are trying to keep the crew safe but my having anyone go in there until ship docks?? Just guessing

Thanks you for update. I would guess that someone passed away in cabin under suspicious circumstances and that is why it is padlocked until authorities can see it. This is just my opinion.
