CAS boarding

Epic had it as well in Barcelona....but it was useless as it was combined with Platinum, Platinum Plus, Haven AND guests requiring assistance in boarding

The lines were awful...no clear way to determine which agents line you were in.....who was next, etc.

This was the worst that I can recall for CAS, Haven or Platinum special check-in... the Barcelona port was the worst in terms of congestion, agents NOT knowing what to do or where to send those with "perks" in terms of boarding..., etc. in all our years of cruising with NCL.

You just need to look for the signs and if you cannot locate them, ASK! Then ask again! As most of the ports that we have sailed from DO offer CAS check-in.

For the record, we STILL had a fabulous time on our B2B out of Barcelona! takes more than a few lines or agents that are not trained to ruin a great cruise!

In Boston this may we had no cas special check in line or boarding. We checked in as platinum and were given boarding # 17 which I thought was odd. When I asked one of the terminal lady's she immediately put us in a special area roped off with a group of about twenty. We were onboard almost first. It was strange going through the ship when it was empty. Best boarding experience we have had.

In May, I was boarding as CAS and they had a separate stack of boarding numbers and I was given #2..... at the same time, normal boarding were being given #24. There was also a separate CAS priority check in...... I was on the first NCL sailing of the year and there was some confusion but it worked out...... at the same time some of the staff were enforcing the staggered checkin while others were not.... it was a mess

No CAS boarding in Miami.

Tracy

We were on a CAS cruise this past March (3/19 Getaway) from Miami. Having previously done a CAS from there and remembering there USED to be a sign for CAS guests right as you come into the check in area; it was the agents to the FAR,FAR right, the first ones you see. The sign wasn't there, so from the roped area we quicky asked one of the agents helping other guests if there was a CAS line. He directed us to line up exactly here it USED to be, which again was the agents furthest to the Right and the ones you see when you approach the area. So MY ADVISE for CAS guests boarding in MIA is to do what I did, JUST ASK!

I just want to add that when we arrived at Manhattan Cruise terminal on July16th, we were ushered into a very, very, long line until I asked if there was a CAS line. The woman said she would be right back and when she returned, she.pulled us out of this long, snaking line and.put us into the CAS line, where we were third in line. We all got a #5 boarding number. Dont forget to ask when you get to the pier..

I was looking at the mailed offer we are using for this upcoming cruise and it said: Exclusive Casinos At Sea Embarkation, we'll see when we get there.

There is a CAS line for the Escape. Just show someone your paperwork and you'll be fine. I'll be boarding this Saturday as well. I'm CAS and platinum so I'll go to whichever line is shorter.

Silly question...which will be best for us? On our next cruise we are Haven, Platinum, and CAS. Will there be one that is better than the other? I know there is a separate Haven waiting area. Is there one for CAS? Platinum? If so, can we go back and forth between them and pick the one we want? Too many choices!! ;p

Haven should be the best. Boarding will be Haven first, followed by top Latitudes levels (Ambassador/Platinum Plus/Platinum).

Thank you so much for that. We are only Gold, so we'll be in the CAS line. Wishing you a very short line. Have a great cruise! :D

NYC does indeed have CAS priority boarding. The CAS line for NYC is conjoined with Haven.

No it is not. The Haven passengers have a special room to board and now CAS players are in with everyone else. They removed them from the area they used for many years to put latitude tiers in there.

Just there on the 16th and CAS had their own line. Actually, we boarded right behind Haven.

The chart on this page shows that only Pearl and above receive complimentary house drinks in the casino. I've sailed on a CAS booking (from a land based casino) twice previously and both times had a drink card and my players card in my room when I first got there. I think I only had a Jade card though, which isn't showing comped house drinks. Is this a recent change? My upcoming booking we do not have the UBP as we opted to use the 3rd guest free promo instead, and I was banking on having comped drinks at the casino bar. Thanks for any info!

I believe if you've booked through CAS, you will receive a drink card for the casino. It is good for basic drinks only though, no premium brands. It does include bottles of water.

As a CAS guest, you will receive a Players Card (color depends on your level), and it will have a drinks card attached to it with a chain, even if it's the Jade level.

Just got off the ship! We booked through CAS for the first time at Jade level and were surprised to get the drink card attached. No one really comes around offering drinks but you can probably go to the bar or flag a waiter down.
