Change of Royalty Status after making final payment

I will make Emerald status on my next cruise. I have made my final payment on the cruise after that. Will I need to print new luggage tags that show my new status? I cruise in August & again in November.

What's printed on the luggage tags doesn't mean a thing. Don't worry about it.

You won't be able to print your luggage tags until at least 49 days out from your cruise. If you are making your Emerald status on your next cruise, you won't be Emerald until the following cruise and till you get the documents released, your new status should be updated and your new status of Emerald should be on them.

Yes, I remember meeting you. Was it at the Veteran's get together? Or am I thinking of someone else. I remember they had no one to run the meeting, so they ask my husband to do it.

 

I knew your screen name was familiar, but, doing so many cruises, I forget who I met and where I met them, unless I cruise with them on a regular basis.

Yes, we were at the Veteran's get together.

 

That cruise really opened my eyes & heart to cruising.

 

I've done 7 cruises since then & now have 5 booked.

 

For me, that is a lot of traveling.

 

DH has said that he wishes we had discovered this when we were younger. He uses a mobility scooter now.

 

I have no plans on him slowing me down as long as I can keep going.

they are lined up according to cruise points,

 

The luggage carts are painted royalty Gold.

That's a joke, just in case you didn't get it. Status has nothing to do with luggage handling.

I'm Diamond and my daughter is Emerald. When we cruise and are in the same room, the luggage tags always have Emerald on them, never Diamond. Go figure!

Yes... and many D+ luggage are still upset w/ it the new policy but Pinnacle & Suite luggage are carried to their cabins on SL carts (Suite level). ;p

And if your luggage is leather, it is cleaned and polished for you. Fabric luggage is just steam cleaned. lol

To the original question regarding status. Your paperwork / tags should be issued with the new status. If the paperwork is already issued prior to the completion of the other cruise, you may have to contact Royal or your travel agent to get it reissued.

 

Not sure why, but there seams to be a manual step in there if tgings happen out of order.
