New Chocolate Parade

Recommended Posts

Just read about the Chocolate Parade that is offered on the last Gala night of each sailing. The article said that this has been implemented fleet wide. Has it truly started and has anyone experienced it? Any reviews?

Just got off the Amsterdam this past Monday and we had the chocolate parade. The crew carried numerous trays of chocolate goodies around deck 5 (Upper Promenade) and it was a crowded (and sticky) affair. Not impressed.

That sounds great. I remember having a Midnight Chocolate Buffet on a cruise years ago. It was pretty cool but to be honest, I was so full from eating all day and night, I couldn't dig in. I guess that's a good thing!

Anyway, a chocolate parade. Count me in.:)

I didn't see this happen, nor was it in the "Where and When". Was it in the dining room? What time did it happen? I sure missed it.

So, if we're on 3 back to back cruises do we get the chocolate parade 3 times? My mom and I had just been talking how on none of her last 3 cruises there hadn't been any desert extravaganza or ice sculptures. This is very welcome news.

Off the January 3rd sailing of the Amsterdam and I am not aware of this being available. But, I wonder: approximately what time did this "parade" take place? I enjoyed a truly wonderful late seating dining room table and often we did not leave the dining room until 10:15 P.M. or a bit later. One evening, our table was literally the last ones out! Maybe it was offered and I simply missed it.

I was called something like "Chocolate Surprise," and it was mentioned in the Where and When. I didn't know what it would be, so I went to check it out. At least 5 or 6 different waiters walked around the deck with large trays of chocolate goodies. I thought it was lovely, although I was too full from dinner to try anything.

Wife and daughter were on Eurodam this past week and they had the parade. They thought it was less than thrilling or organized. A few small desserts with about 10 people carrying trays through deck 3. Seems like more or a lido type event. They love chocolate but were underwhelmed.
