Diamond Drinks Usable in Main Dining Room....Fleetwide?

The drink vouchers can be used at any bar. The only question is whether they can also be used in restaurants, which seems to vary ship to ship.

 

On Oasis end of August they could not be used in any dining venue. I wish they'd add the Windjammer bar to it.

I've also read that they cannot be used as the Rising Tide Bar, but I don't know if that's the same on all Oasis class ships.

It has been a couple of years, but we used them regularly at the Rising Tide Bar on those cruises on the Oasis.

Ill be on Harmony this saturday...will let you know. Ive always thought it was unfair to not allow the vouchers to be used in the dining rooms since 1/2 the population chooses to eat between 6:00 and 8:30. Anyways Im glad they made the change.

Well, you know what RCI stands for.;)

Voucher's could not be used on Rising Tide Bar or Bionic Bar this past March on Harmony.

They could also not be used for the Bionic Bar on Anthem (just off last Saturday).

On Grandeur now. Diamond + letter states drink vouchers can not be used in MDR, Speciality Restaurants, or W J. However, I didn’t ask either. :confused:

 

We will be boarding Grandeur on 11/18 and would love to know what they say if you do happen to ask. If not allowed, i will just hit the closest bar if i finish my drink before dinner is over. thanks in advance.

Another example of Royal's being royally inconsistent: We were on Oasis for the Eclipse cruise, the one just before yours probably, and we used them in the MDR. Summer Cruiser also reported earlier on the thread that they used them on Oasis recently.

 

Anyone on Oasis in September or October who knows?

We were on the eclipse cruise too. Did a B2B. Never went to the MDR so no experience there. DH disabled and much easier for me to push wheelchair to Windjammer.

Any reports from Freedom class?

Was on he Freedom Presidents Cruise. We asked the waiter and he asked his manager and they said yes, However we were charged for wine one day. Went to guest services and the guest services officer said we could not use them in the MDR and explained where they were allowed. I told him I used them on Oasis in MDR and Specialty and he said not on this ship. I told him they waiter said I could and I did not sign a receipt. The person then behind the desk said she would take them off. So the answer is who knows? I was told two different things on the ship.

on jewel a couple weeks ago we could not....however, one night i forgot to bring my drinks to the MDR and told the assistant waiter i would be right back.....he told me that he normally could not do it but would go to the bar for me and get them that night since he wanted to "take special care" of me....i made sure to remember them the rest of the cruise.....

They are probably getting ready to announce that Diamond level won't have access to the lounges anymore.;p

 

 

I could handle getting kicked out in crowded evenings but would be annoyed if couldn’t use it mornings for calmer breakfast scene.
