AdGuyMG Posted November 3, 2017 #26 Share Posted November 3, 2017 Amazed that anyone can still be vertical at 15 Lol I was thinking the same thing! I'd be on my butt after about 5 Who's to say for certain that half or many of the 1st 13 or 14 of the 15 drinks ordered on Cheers weren't purchased and shared at some time during the day with "new friends" or among family members traveling in another cabin without the Cheers program? Pellaz Posted November 3, 2017 #27 Share Posted November 3, 2017 Anyone who has had cheers knows the 15 limit is for drinks with alcohol .... however some seem surprised that the 15 limit can be reached .. since it is in a 24 hour period it is possible ... Oh, sure. Last year my friend John reached his 15-drink limit, late on one of the sea-days. A mimosa here, a daiquiri there, a couple of drinks with lunch and dinner, etc. He spaced them out well, so he was never blotto or staggering, in fact he never really seemed impaired. memoak Posted November 3, 2017 #28 Share Posted November 3, 2017 It is possible to reach 15 without a whole lot of trouble - how many people might have 1 mimosa with breakfast, 2 glasses of wine with lunch, 2 drinks hanging around the deck in the afternoon, 3 per dinner cocktails, 2 glasses of wine with dinner, an after dinner shot - now I only have 4 more to have in the casino at night. People want their money's worth so sure that people will work something out with friends to help share the load and the cost.

Not as many as you’d think. With all that liquid in your belly, there’s no room for food. 15 drinks in your gut, not even counting bottled water or a coffee? No thanks. ray98 Posted November 4, 2017 #32 Share Posted November 4, 2017 Why does any Cheers thread make people flock to it just to say "I would never drink 15 drinks"? Who cares?

Ocean Cat Posted November 4, 2017 #34 Share Posted November 4, 2017 That's less than one drink an hour and those fruity drinks are probably light on the alcohol, I wouldn't be stumbling drunk and I'm not a big drinker.
pacruise804 Posted November 5, 2017 #35 Share Posted November 5, 2017 I've seen many posts where people like the package because they don't have to finish a drink they don't like (or has partly melted). I could see it easy in this case to reach 15 if you are often doing partial drinks.
funkidd Posted November 5, 2017 #36 Share Posted November 5, 2017 It’s easy to get to 15 on vacation. Especially if you start at breakfast with a mimosa then maybe some beers or a fruity drink or two you can be at 6-8 drinks by 2. Take a nap. Then get up a couple at dinner. Then if you have some friends on board I could easily drink a twelve pack before two am after dinner. Without being all messed up. They're generally in and out rather quickly!

beerman2 Posted November 6, 2017 #39 Share Posted November 6, 2017 My gosh man, at what time of day do you start drinking ?? I'm guessing Breakfast ( Bloody Mary, Mimosa, Bailey's and coffee). Have a few 4-5 by the pool during the day. 2 pre-dinner drinks 1-2 with dinner 3-4 walking around /shows at night. Wait that's me! But's it's not that far fetched. That is over a 15 hr day or so. Average of less than 1 drink an hour.
