2paradise Posted March 14, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 14, 2018 Hi I am new to RC. What, if any, beverages can be carried on the ship? Thank you!
njm5378 Posted March 14, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 14, 2018 By rule only two bottles of wine per cabin per sailing. Others have brought soda and water with no issues. May face greater scrutiny depending on port and time of year.
GTO-Girl Posted March 14, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 14, 2018 Hi I am new to RC. What, if any, beverages can be carried on the ship? Thank you! Wine must be 750ml only. And I know, at least, in Port Canaveral it must be carried on.....it cannot be checked. Same with water or soda.....technically not allowed but if you do take it on it has to be carried on... Rooms are not ready until about 1pm so you have to decide how much you want to schlep around until that time
panzafit Posted March 14, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 14, 2018 Does anyone know if Port of Miami will look the other way if you want to bring bottled water onboard?
theSHAH Posted March 14, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 14, 2018 Does anyone know if Port of Miami will look the other way if you want to bring bottled water onboard? A few years ago I sailed out of port everglades on the Allure carrying around a 24-pack of water blatantly throughout the check in process. No issues. karena1 Posted March 14, 2018 #8 Share Posted March 14, 2018 Hi I am new to RC. What, if any, beverages can be carried on the ship? Thank you! 2 wines/champagne per cabin. We have taken soda/water on every cruise we have ever been on and never had an issue.
ababrooks Posted March 14, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 14, 2018 Has anyone tried to carry on cans of energy drinks? My husband drinks 1-2 NOS a day, and is worried about 'surviving' on the ship. He will not drink Red Bull.
SRF Posted March 16, 2018 #10 Share Posted March 16, 2018 The only issue I have seen reported here is that at some ports, they will not accept a case of water with a luggage tag on it. It has to have handles.
Big_G Posted March 16, 2018 #11 Share Posted March 16, 2018 If you get the drink package, bottled water is included.
mcroadman Posted March 19, 2018 #12 Share Posted March 19, 2018 Can I bring the large glass bottles of Italian soda in my carry on? They are bit smaller than a wine bottle. Do they need to search or look through carry on? or they xray it??

Rare cruiselvr04 Posted March 19, 2018 #14 Share Posted March 19, 2018 I have a smaller duffle with handles that I pack about 32 bottles of Dasani water into. Always check it and have always gotten it delivered to my room. The porters will sometimes look at me and I just smile and tip. I think the duffle is the key. Once I had to go to the naughty room to claim it. I figure the water is cheap if they say no. As long as I get the bag back.

I had read someone just taped a pack of water with packing tape and put a luggage tag on it and gave it to the porter. They said it always got delivered to the room. But the duffle bag sounds like it might be better.
NewKansasKruiser Posted March 21, 2018 #16 Share Posted March 21, 2018 If you get the drink package, bottled water is included. If I buy the soda package, I can also choose free bottles of water? Is that what I am reading? Thanks
lbjen Posted March 21, 2018 #17 Share Posted March 21, 2018 No, you have to get the package that includes bottled water, which is more than just the soda package.
crazyboutdisney Posted March 21, 2018 #18 Share Posted March 21, 2018 For soda do you know if it has to be bottles or cans? Carnival used to allow bottles but changed to cans only. I’m guessing because they can’t be re sealed. Just wondering. I like to have soda in my cabin without having to finance the purchase lol
