Do you think if i book at the adult price, they will adjust on board if they offer a child price?
Merion_Mom Posted April 19, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 19, 2018 Do you think if i book at the adult price, they will adjust on board if they offer a child price? They will charge you full price now when you make the reservation on line, then refund you after the meal.
taglovestocruise Posted April 19, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 19, 2018 Our last cruise on Oasis the kids prices were for the table area and full price was for sitting at the grill. We were there when it was packed, might get a kids price at the grill if you go off hours.
tropiclvrs Posted April 19, 2018 #7 Share Posted April 19, 2018 We also paid full price for Hibachi for our kids a few years ago. I think it was $35 at that time and I thought even then it was expensive. No way I would pay $45 for all of us now. I’m happy the kids got to experience it, just not in a hurry to do it again until they are a little older (DS is now 13 and DD is 11). Ken at the beach Posted April 20, 2018 #9 Share Posted April 20, 2018 On Oasis class ships kids are no longer $12. They are 1/2 the adult fee.

luvscruising2007 Posted April 20, 2018 #11 Share Posted April 20, 2018 Boy, that sure went up fast. Wasn't the children's price less than $10 once? I remember when they first introduced the specialty restaurants and children under 12 were not permitted after 7:30. Maybe the higher child's price is a way to reduce the number of children in the specialty restaurants.
maryjaden Posted April 20, 2018 #12 Share Posted April 20, 2018 In August of 2017, we did not get a kids price for Hibachi or Wonderland on the Harmony.
Ken at the beach Posted April 20, 2018 #13 Share Posted April 20, 2018 Boy, that sure went up fast. Wasn't the children's price less than $10 once? I think I remember it as low as $8. Not sure what it’s priced at on other classes but it’s been 1/2 the adult fare for almost a year on Oasis class.

Maybe the higher child's price is a way to reduce the number of children in the specialty restaurants. I’m thinking that it’s just another way to increase their revenue, nothing at all to do with keeping kids out of the specialty restaurants.
