Piper77 Posted April 30, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 30, 2018 Amen. Another vague "best" question with no definition of "best". Oh give me a break! The OP is clearly asking for opinions and personal experiences - that's what this whole chat board is based on. Just because he didn't word it exactly to your liking doesn't mean you should be a jerk about it. I've never made that trip, so don't have any suggestions. But I hope some of the kinder members of this forum chime in.

Google...ita matrix That site will allow you to enter your departure and destination cities. You will then be given a list of flights (not all airlines though) and cost. Non stop flights from CPH to AMS are 90 minutes, train is 11 hours plus.
Danish viking Posted April 30, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 30, 2018 If you take the train you will start at 07:35 at København H and arrive at 19:00 at Amsterdam Centraal. You will have a 30 minute layover in Hamburg and a 1 hour and 18 minute layover in Osnabrück.
hallasm Posted April 30, 2018 #7 Share Posted April 30, 2018 Best option is flight from CPH to AMS. I would not consider any other options. SAS and KLM does daily operate up to 12 direct flights. Sent from my iPad using Forums
frederik123456 Posted April 30, 2018 #8 Share Posted April 30, 2018 I'd second Hallasm. Unless you want to stop somewhere along the way, e.g. Hamburg, a flight will be the cheapest and fastest.

Hi Neighbor :D Flying is the fastest option and the one I will choose next year when in Denmark to get to London or Paris. Check the weight allowance for your European flight, it may be 40lbs not the 50 US carriers allow.
wheezedr Posted April 30, 2018 #11 Share Posted April 30, 2018 This is one route where trains are not as desirable as air and I would definitely fly.

kochleffel Posted May 6, 2018 #13 Share Posted May 6, 2018 There is one highly unusual feature of the train route that would nudge me in its favor despite the length: between Rødby (Denmark) and Puttgarden (Germany) the entire train drives onto a car ferry, which it is precisely designed to fit. You can leave the train during the ferry crossing.
