TM Posted June 13, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2018 I faxed in the paperwork for the shareholder credit. Where would I see it to confirm that it has been credited to my upcoming onboard account? Thank you.
wheezedr Posted June 13, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 13, 2018 (edited) I faxed in the paperwork for the shareholder credit. Where would I see it to confirm that it has been credited to my upcoming onboard account? Thank you. Go out to your cruise personalizer and look at your account. The credit should show there. With faxing it sometimes shows the same day, generally no more than 1-2 days at most. Edited June 13, 2018 by wheezedr Spellcheck
moki'smommy Posted June 13, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 13, 2018 Mine took about 90 minutes. If you don't see it within a few days, call them.

Thrak Posted June 14, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 14, 2018 If it doesn't show in your personalizer call them. The proper number to use when checking on Shareholder OBC is: 800 872 6779 ext. 30317 They will ask for the number from which you faxed the documents. If you used an online service such as FaxZero just tell them that.
Dckamme Posted June 14, 2018 #7 Share Posted June 14, 2018 I read somewhere that you had to have 100 shares of carnival stock to qualify for obc. Is this true? And how much obc do you receive? Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Sent from my iPhone using Forums You have to present proof that you own at least 100 shares of CCL stock. OBC is granted one time for each stateroom and not each pax. Depending on the length of the cruise, you will get from $50 to $250 OBC. 6 days or less $50 OBC/stateroom 7 - 13 days $100 OBC/stateroom 14 days + $250 OBC/stateroom It must be claimed before sailing
SSMEX Posted June 14, 2018 #11 Share Posted June 14, 2018 Just as a data point, I faxed in my paperwork at 5pm Pacific on Monday and it hasn't showed up yet. Will give them a call next week if it still doesn't show up yet.

OBC from CCL Stock Sailings of 6 days or fewer $50 Sailings of 7 - 13 days $100 Sailings of 14 days or longer $250 That is true only for CCL cruises using US$ on board. Princess cruises run out of Australia are in AU$ (≅ 75% of US$). Short Cunard cruises give only £30 (≅ US$40). Short Costa cruises give €40 (≅ US$46). Etc. riffatsea Posted June 14, 2018 #14 Share Posted June 14, 2018 I always ask them to send an e mail to show me the credit. I get one within 3 days. It comes showing the whole booking with the new credit on the bottom.
Ofmyheart Posted June 14, 2018 #15 Share Posted June 14, 2018 They must be running behind. Mine was faxed on Thu (2 days ago) no credit seen yet.
Shelldor Posted June 14, 2018 #16 Share Posted June 14, 2018 I had trouble with mine last week. I called and they claimed they didn't receive it. I faxed it again while on the phone with them and they recevied it. They sent me an e-mail saying they had to add it manually, whatever that means, and that it will show up on board but not on my booking. I am taking the e-mail with me so I don't have any problems! chubbypiggy Posted June 14, 2018 #17 Share Posted June 14, 2018 Can I submit the request through email instead of fax or mail in? If so, anyone knows the email address? Thank you.
Haboob Posted June 14, 2018 #18 Share Posted June 14, 2018 Can I submit the request through email instead of fax or mail in? If so, anyone knows the email address? Thank you. Email runs afoul of laws about protecting customers' financial data. Dumb, but that's their story and they're sticking to it.

Haboob Posted June 14, 2018 #20 Share Posted June 14, 2018 One other thing to note is that the shareholder credit is non-refundable. Tom That's technically true, but (last I looked) they lose track of that because Princess' onboard systems don't record whether an OBC is refundable or not. Ditto for the restrictions on using it in the casino or for gratuities.
fishywood Posted June 14, 2018 #21 Share Posted June 14, 2018 That's technically true, but (last I looked) they lose track of that because Princess' onboard systems don'trecord whether an OBC is refundable or not. Ditto for the restrictions on using it in the casino or for gratuities. On both Island and Golden last month when viewing my stateroom account on Princess@Sea each OBC was labelled as either refundable or non-refundable. But no items ineligible for the non-refundable were flagged as such.
Thrak Posted June 14, 2018 #22 Share Posted June 14, 2018 They seem to use the non-refundable OBC first anyway. As for those who faxed their info day ago I'd call. I usually fax the info (these days I use faxzero as I no longer have access to a fax since I retired) and then I wait an hour or two. Once my waiting period is over I check the personalizer. If the OBC isn't showing by then I call and they either tell me there was a glitch where they didn't get the fax or they look and find it and then apply it right away. DrivesLikeMario Posted June 14, 2018 #23 Share Posted June 14, 2018 Over the past year or so, the department has been very on-the-ball and getting these OBCs applied super fast. Call if you don't see it within 3 days. Mine have been done lately in under 8 hours.
chamima Posted June 14, 2018 #24 Share Posted June 14, 2018 If you don't get the credit within 3 days or so make sure you faxed it in right side up (or down depending on your fax machine). This advice via someone who faxed hers in wrong side down several times last year. :o:eek:
Funkat Posted June 14, 2018 #25 Share Posted June 14, 2018 Can I submit the request through email instead of fax or mail in? If so, anyone knows the email address? Thank you. I've used "Faxzero" to submit mine in the past. It's free and you send the form from your computer (like an email) but it's sent to the fax number. Was easy and I received a receipt back when the send was delivered. My onboard credit was applied within a few hours.
