Dashofpepper Posted August 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 5, 2018 Hey folks! My wife and I cruisers, but new to RCCL, taking our first cruise on the Oasis on November 4th. I'm also a degenerate gambler, but since we're new to Crown and Anchor, nor do I have a Club Royale membership yet, we have no offers of any sort. We're trying to plan and book our vacations for next year. She wants to cruise again in January, and I'm not sure if we should book it now, off the street with no promotions, discounts, or anything else, or if we should wait until after we've cruised (and I've gambled on the Oasis) in November and then call to see what / if anything they're willing to give us? Let me know!
Clarea Posted August 5, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 5, 2018 Book now and you will still be able to take advantage of price drops and promos that come along before final payment date.
smplybcause Posted August 5, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 5, 2018 How degenerate are you? From what I've read on here you need 2500 points to get any casino offers which is running $10k through the slots ($5 per point), $25k through video poker ($10 per point), or an indeterminate amount at the tables (somehow calculated on time playing and bets but no one knows for sure it seems). But even then it seems a little discretionary. As such, I gamble very little. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

The timing would be quite good for booking something inside final payment during low season - if you are flexible on ship/timing in Jan, you could do well waiting to book on the ship. mattpro Posted August 5, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 5, 2018 The Oasis is a ship where the ship is the destination. The wow factor is there and worth the price whatever you pay. The casino is the largest of all RCL ships - with 1/2 smoking and 1/2 non-smoking. You will want to see the Casino Host your first time into the casino. They will explain how their Casino Royale program works. If you are a high roller you may get free drinks in the casino and perhaps a specialty dinner. At the end of the week you will receive a certificate - either for a dollar discount on your next cruise or even a free cruise. Once a year you will get a promo for a free cruise if you are a Prime player or higher. When you book a future cruise use the Casino Royale phone # - 1-888-561-2234. You may even want to call this number before you book your first cruise, especially if you gamble at any land casinos that participate in their MLife (?) program. All casinos have records of their best customers and readily share. Regardless of how you book - have a nice cruise.
Rare lazydayz Posted August 5, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 5, 2018 I would wait until you leave the Oasis. Likely to get a free cruise certificate and January is not prime cruising season. We have gotten some great deals in January but none are as good as free. Even if you don’t like the free cruises listed, the certicate can be used for $$$ off any cruise departing in a year. Rare John&LaLa Posted August 5, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 5, 2018 Wait until you earn a cert on ship. They expire in 30 days Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
