Rare mysty Posted January 1, 2023 #15507 Share Posted January 1, 2023 Our NYE celebration was a dinner at our favourite restaurant Black Tartan Kitchen. It was a feast. The walk there (about 25 minutes) was very eerie. Rain and fog and almost no one on the streets. Weather was extremely strange for this time of year here. Chef Ian provides his menus in crossword form. Always an interesting "appetizer" to the meal. Here is the menu from last night with my answers penned in....(clue numbers refer to the order of the dishes)... 1st Course....Corn (corn cake, pureed corn, popcorn) 2nd course Oysters Rockefeller..... 3rd course Carrot and Clementine Salad.... 4th course Tourtiere (a French Canadian favourite)... 5th course Bison and Beets..... 6th course a Ginger Extravaganza..... 7th course Yule Log.....
lincslady Posted January 1, 2023 #15508 Share Posted January 1, 2023 Had to look up Tourtiere - and from now on this is how I will describe my meat pies , so much more elegant. What a fabulous eclectic menu. Lola
