cruise kitty Posted August 14, 2018 Author #27 Share Posted August 14, 2018 Godafoss Wow, once again, thanks for the fantastic photos, I have a feeling we're going to have to take a land based trip there sometime in the future & spend a couple of weeks driving. :)
Iamthesea Posted August 14, 2018 #28 Share Posted August 14, 2018 Beautiful photos, Essiesmom. :) Amazing what a difference a few months makes. In May, those Akureyri mountains were mostly snow capped. At Godafoss, there were still some icy areas along the edges of the falls. People were even trying to cross at the narrow sections. In contrast, I understand that in mid to late June, the brown lava rock that we saw in Reykajvik turns green with moss. :)
Ashland Posted August 14, 2018 #29 Share Posted August 14, 2018 Godafoss When we were at Godafoss this past June 2nd we saw the most beautiful rainbow arching across the falls that we have ever seen before....I wish I knew how to post our pictures. Rare Miaminice Posted August 14, 2018 #30 Share Posted August 14, 2018 We found the entrance to Akureyri pretty interesting... Also the places to be (easily) reached from there were spectacular... Q1ORpxMBBwo OBymdFv7jc8
