I'm sure this has been asked before and I'm sorry if I'm asking again - I'm going googly eyed trolling through the previous comments.  We want to plan a visit to a music hall in Barcelona but don't want to book for the night that might be the azamazing evening.  How do you know which evening it will be ?

AzAmazing evening is posted well in advance on the cruise shore excursion list in your online planner. For example, my upcoming cruise is in December but AzAmazing evening was posted online a month ago.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I thought I had read that somewhere then couldnt find it again.  I have looked at our planner - it has very small passenger numbers with only 105 cabins booked so far.  The cruise is Spain intensive in November.  I can't see the Azamazing evening posted.  All excursions have a cost against them and I was looking for one that didnt.  Am I looking in the right direction ?

Yes, you are absolutely right. Here I made a screen shot of how it looks on my phone’s voyage planner. 1901422513_VoyagePlanner-ShoreExcursions.thumb.png.a7ca26e7e28702c226cae9296d620bed.png

I'm assuming that your cruise in on the Pursuit starting in Rome on Nov 19th ???   If so, while there are no AzAmazing Evenings or Destination Celebrations ( on board) listed, the only possilbe days are the late stay in Barcelone on 21 Nov, and the two nights in Seville ( 26 and 27 Nov)

Yes, you assume correctly. Thank you thats my problem the only concert on land we can go to while travelling is Barcelona on the 21xt.  Of course we want to experience Azamara as well and don't want to miss the Destination Celebration.

Therein lies the dilemma. 🙂

So good to hear - we are MSC fans from way back but also think we will be a good fit for Azamara.  I'm so looking forward to trying something new.  We tried Princess, Costa (a few times) RCCL, and Genting, another company that is now bust and havent found our fit yet.

Azamara is a much more sedate experience and, while we’re loving every moment onboard, it would be a while before we would look for this experience again.  The crew are great, but we’ve always found them great on MSC, too.

But, there’s no doubt, service is exceptional on Azamara and the food is of a much higher standard than YC.

You say that there are only 105 guests booked. Please, where exactly did you find this information in your planner? (Was this the desktop version or mobile?)

Not guests, staterooms.  Its not in the planner.  I do a dummy booking and add up all the empty cabins in each category then take it away from the total number of cabins on the ship (which I counted on the deck plan). I have been doing this every week.  We did get to 110 staterooms booked but that dropped after final payment due day. Interestingly, it was the top end suites that seemed to become vacant.

Does Azamara have an App?  I have looked and looked in the Apps on my phone and nothing shows (Royal Caribbean yes, Celebrity yes, but no Azamara) so where do you have it on your phone please.

Sorry it came out ambiguous- I was referring to the voyage planner on Azamara’s web site 😅

No app. There was one for Pursuit only but it’s not used.

You can find the Voyage Planner on Azamara’s website. Go to My Account at the top right of the opening page. If you haven’t already created an account, then you need to do so using your DOB, email address and a security question and answer. Once created if your cruise isn’t showing you can add it using the cruise reference number. If you already have an account, log in and look for your cruise, then click on Plan My Voyage.

When we were in Seville on Quest in April they had flamenco dancers on board forAzAmazing Evening.

Hi,

I've never cruised on Azamara before or used a travel agent for booking a cruise.  With all of the changes due to COVID and after reading through this thread, I'd like to book with a travel agent.  I'm based in the US and am looking for recommendations on travel agents that are experts on Azamara.  I'm not sure if this is allowed on this thread or if some one could privately message me with a recommendation.

I appreciate your help!

No. One of the few rules when you join is promotion and naming of travel agents is not allowed. Perhaps check out some reviews in your local area.

Not allowed to identify TA's here. Choose carefully, some are very, very good, but others are terrible. I would suggest you go for a cruise specialist not a main-street,  or mainstream general TA.

I've read on this board somewhere that some people take their favorite bottle of spirits onboard to suppplement the included drinks.  ??? If this is correct and you are allowed to take liquor onboard are you allowed to drink it anywhere or is that restricted to your stateroom only ?

It is restricted to your stateroom.  However, there is nothing to stop you taking your drink in its glass from your cabin out to the pool deck or sunset deck, etc.  You will need mixers in your cabin fridge though.

And your room steward will get you the mixers  to put in your fridge.

Yes, it does.  Shampoo and conditioner of course.

May seem an odd question ..are the bottles of shampoo and conditioner 2 separate items ?

Hopefully not the single shampoo/conditioner combination most major lines are now using.

It would be nice not to have to pack those.

I know I've seen lots of posts about OBC, but I can't find exactly what I'm looking for. My TA provided some OBC for my cruise and I am supposed to get some from Azamara. Where do I go in my account to see what the two amounts are, and make sure they are recorded properly?

You won’t see OBC in your account until you are on the ship. However it should show on the booking paperwork from your TA.  General OBC from Azamara is not refundable and will automatically be used first.  OBC from your TA is usually refundable, so if you don’t use it, you can take it as cash on the last day, or credit it back to your credit card.

Thanks. I had a bright idea and started to book a shore excursion. When I went to pay it showed OBC. Do you know if that would be the total of the two, or just Azamara's OBC?

That will be from Az, which as you see can be used for shorex.  In my previous experience, TA OBC shows in your onboard account a day or two after boarding.
