kathy1305 Posted August 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2018 I read somewhere (maybe here) that late at night, they put out the Norman Love desserts that are left over from the specialty dining rooms in the Horizon Court. Any truth to the rumor? If it's true, I'll be making a late night visit to HC!

JF - retired RRT Posted August 26, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 26, 2018 My guess is, it goes to the crew's mess. I commented one night to our waiter about the delicious dessert we'd been served and asked what happens to the leftovers. He got an impish grin on his face and said, "we eat it". kathyt939 Posted August 26, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 26, 2018 We just got off an Alaska cruise. Had Chocolate Journeys in the MDR. The IC had another choice of Journeys but different then in the MDR. Not as good. Saw it in Horizon Court but not the same either. Just once there. Colo Cruiser Posted August 26, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 26, 2018 A couple of years ago when NL first came out we saw them at a special display in the buffet on the Royal/Regal all the time. We did not see them on the CB at the WFM on the last cruise.
Micahs Grandad Posted August 26, 2018 #9 Share Posted August 26, 2018 Never seen this and I am a midnight buffet visitor :) What do they typically serve on buffet midnight or later? Always assumed nothing other than coffee and went to Horizon Court.

In our experience anymore they are long closed by midnight in the HC. If there is one the International Cafe is the place after the HC is closed. Corgidawgga Posted August 27, 2018 #12 Share Posted August 27, 2018 They are not a big deal at all. I did run across this once. I believe it was on the Royal TA this spring. I have to disagree with prior post as most of his deserts are to die for. The domed mousse cakes are by far the best. And this is what was on the buffet, otherwise I might not have noticed. It was a taste of heaven before dreamland. [emoji7] Sent from my iPad using Forums

Fat Albert Posted August 28, 2018 #14 Share Posted August 28, 2018 I have purchased NL desserts from IC . I think they were 3 dollars each and 2 for 5? I do not remember for sure but I do remember they were at the IC and they were for sale like the gelato.

floridalover5623 Posted August 30, 2018 #25 Share Posted August 30, 2018 Yes, and some pastries. That seems to be a change from past sailings when the Horizon was shut down for all food, even pastries. I guess enough people complained they finally took notice.
