Thrak Posted August 29, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2018 Looking at doing a B2B on Grand Princess out of San Francisco in March 2019. The cruises are a 10 day Mexican Rivera followed by a 7 day California Coastal. Neither of these cruises show any type of promo at all. Usually it seems that pretty much any cruise is under some sort of Princess promo but these offer zip. Poop. What's up with that?

Rare Host CJSKIDS Posted August 29, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 29, 2018 I’ve been noticing the website has been glitchy lately. I check out a cruise and it looks like there isn’t a promo attached. Then if I do a mock booking or hold something, the promo is there. I actually called last week and they said they were having issues. I see the sun drenched deal for the 3/20/19 Grand sailing followed by the 3/30/19 Grand sailing. Are you looking at other dates? They are the only ones I see. Mid March is K-12 March break for public schools across most of Canada, plus most Catholic and private as well. Most of Canada's schools are closed a week in March. You have likely hit that period. In my experience, the week of my kids March Break is always more expensive than other weeks around it, and the past few years the weeks around it have had promos but their break week has not had anything. But that is the week we can sail.

I had them saved and the link from there showed no promo so I logged out and then logged back in and did a regular search and still didn't see any promo. Are you saying that, if I do a mock booking, the promo will show up? If so.... THANK YOU! I'll give that a shot. I was pretty blown away not to see any kind of "deal" at all. Thrak Posted August 29, 2018 Author #12 Share Posted August 29, 2018 (edited) Hmmm... Just did a mock booking and no promo shows but, at one point I can see a link to "View Special Offers". I see $20 OBC each and a specialty restaurant freebie. I also see a pop up that says deposit is 100% non-refundable. D'Oh! I wonder why the Sun Drenched Deals doesn't show up as a promo for me. Perhaps I'll clear all Princess cookies and try again. Sigh... The "crack" Princess IT team (the Princess IT team on crack) has done it again. Removing cookies didn't help so I tried a different browser. With Chrome I see the sale banners. With Firefox there is nothing. As I have often said, I believe the Princess IT team is composed of people who failed as Walmart greeters. Edited August 29, 2018 by Thrak

Thrak Posted August 29, 2018 Author #14 Share Posted August 29, 2018 Sigh... When I don't log in with Chrome I see the "sale". However, the price is higher. When I do log in, even with Chrome, there is no sale banner at all. What a joke. At least the price is better than the "sale" price when I'm not logged in. Even if they did have some, do I have to cancel my existing to get the promos? Only if there is a big price change. For instance the Sip and Sail promo looked good until I realized they had raised the price of my cabin by $500 per person. They said I would have to rebook at the higher price to get the promo. Nope. Not a chance. An extra $1000 to get the "sale" wasn't worth it to me.
