Cabin Question

Yet again, you are providing information that is not correct.

On a previous cruise on Emerald, we had an Ocean View and the 3rd & 4th bunks were not located in the deckhead. They were attached to the bulkheads and were not flush to the bulkhead. The bunks were hinged and folded up to the bulkhead, so they stuck out about 6" - 8".

As others have stated, the cabin can bed 4. The two "uppers" either fold to the wall or flush into the ceiling. Other than that no difference. There is that outside chance the cruise line would upgrade you to larger cabin should a group of 4 was looking for a booking. Just a possibility that some use as a "strategy" when making reservations.
