CCLcruiser91 Posted October 29, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 29, 2018 A few weeks ago, John Heald announced: The popular Guy’s Burger Joint on Carnival Cruise Line is now offering Vegan Burgers across the fleet. The new choice will be in addition to the regular meat choices on Carnival cruise ships. https://cruiseradio.net/guys-burgers-now-has-a-new-menu-addition/ I was on the Carnival Inspiration this past weekend and went to Guy's to try the new vegan burger - to my surprise, they didn't have it - they told me I had to go to the Deli to get one! (I went to the Deli and they had them - not on the Deli menu either) I used to order the "veggie" burger in the past with no problems... I wonder if this is the case on all the Carnival ships? chadci Posted October 29, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 29, 2018 I emailed them last week about this very thing. this was the initial reply to the generic "do you have them" question Please be advised we do not have Veggie Burgers on the menu at Guy's Burger, but it can be provided on request. We also have at Blue Iguana Cantina several vegetable spreads, beans and rice where there as several choices for you. Should you wish us to advise our onboard staff as to when you plan to attend Guys Burger, please let us know and we will be happy to advise the ship. Otherwise, please be aware there will be a little wait time for prep work.
coevan Posted October 30, 2018 #3 Share Posted October 30, 2018 My wife is a veggie and gets a toasted bun with cheese and adds stuff from the extras bar. She loves the mozzarella, arugula, and tomato sandwich at the deli. She also loves the 4 cheese pizza with the garlic crumbles.
Rare BlerkOne Posted October 30, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 30, 2018 Not all Carnival ships have Guy's burgers, but they all have a Deli.

riffatsea Posted October 30, 2018 #7 Share Posted October 30, 2018 Guys burgers are flat and tasteless until you add extras to them so whether you get a veggie burger there or at the deli shouldn't really make any difference.
Rare TravelE Posted October 30, 2018 #8 Share Posted October 30, 2018 I had a Veggie Burger from Guy's Burger on the Paradise at the end of September. It was great with those fries!
stellarose Posted October 30, 2018 #9 Share Posted October 30, 2018 I have gotten a very good veggie burger from guy's burgers. I was on the Pride in June.
MalleyCat Posted October 30, 2018 #10 Share Posted October 30, 2018 I have gotten veggie burgers from every ship I've been on with a Guy's. The vegan burger could be different, I haven't tried it yet.
coevan Posted October 30, 2018 #11 Share Posted October 30, 2018 There are no veggie burgers at the deli. There are veggie options, not burgers. Last 2 B2B with Guys, no veggie burger offered.
Herbaltees Posted October 31, 2018 #12 Share Posted October 31, 2018 I’m confused. Is there or isn’t there a Guys Veggie or Vegan burger? My husband used to get the veggie burger, and really liked it.
MJSailors Posted October 31, 2018 #13 Share Posted October 31, 2018 Just curious- are the veggie burgers cooked on the same grill as the meat burgers ?

darth frosty Posted October 31, 2018 #15 Share Posted October 31, 2018 Just sharing my experience...I was on the 10/14 sailing of the magic and asked about a veggie burger at guy's they told me they were at the deli station. Again just my experience 2 weeks ago.

Not sure which cruise line did which, but I have seen veggie burgers cooked 2 different ways. The most common way was in the back, presumably on a separate grill. The other way was in a pan on the grill, so not actually on the grill. I do not specifically remember which one Carnival did (and have not yet been on a ship with Guy's Burgers). bigcraig Posted October 31, 2018 #17 Share Posted October 31, 2018 I wish they did grilled chicken at Guy's, a little more healthy option.
stellarose Posted October 31, 2018 #18 Share Posted October 31, 2018 yes my veggie burger on the pride was cooked in the back on a separate grill.

Treyatl2006 Posted November 1, 2018 #22 Share Posted November 1, 2018 Did you go when it was busy? I'm not saying that this was the case but sometimes the staff will resist making special order burgers when its busy.
newcruiser1956 Posted November 1, 2018 #23 Share Posted November 1, 2018 Always, they never gave me a problem at all, I would order, they would ask if I wanted cheese, I would smile and say no, and then stand over to the side out of the way so they can continue with the line. You just have to ask for them :)

newcruiser1956 Posted November 1, 2018 #25 Share Posted November 1, 2018 You are allowed your opinion... I am a vegan and there are not many choices that are not dead animal or full of oil. And their veggie burger is pretty good.
