Photos from the Jewel January 2018. I didn't get many photos when we boarded. I've never uploaded photos so apologise they are such hodge podge.

Our inside cabin, the Great outdoor cafe, Tsar's restaurant, the pool deck, Chin Chin, the bridge, O'Sheehan's, Spinnaker Lounge

Hi all, I will post more pictures but not when I’m on ship as the internet is crappy that it takes forever for me to upload. Plus this CC doesn’t let me upload the compressed pictures!

Can someone post old picture of the atrium ceiling?

THANKS!

They removed it.  I think the deck looks great now.  Gone with the phony palm trees.

Lucky I found out in time! I was thinking of booking because of the slide, but if that has gone I can just book whichever line has the best itinerary! I thought the slide would make my son happy.

Excellent pictures, thank you for posting to share ...

is there now a Bridge Viewing Room like the GEM, looking at one of the pictures posted here - looked like a nice "peek" into bridge operations, as I cannot imagine that they are offering escorted/guide tour.  Well, maybe for the few dozens of Latitude Ambassadors on request, LOL.

The Bridge Viewing Room was there before the refurbishment.  I would assume it's still there.

Thanks for the pictures, especially the inside room. My son and I are on the Jewel next July. There always seems to be an abundance of photos of the balcony rooms and suites, but none of the cheaper rooms.

Very cool you can look into the bridge.

BTW Carnival Cruise Line does ship tours for anyone, not just the highest reward level.

The ship looks really great! We have sailed on the Jewel multiple times to Alaska and the Mexican Riviera (now taken over by the mega ships).

NCL does behind the screens tours through the shore excursion department (for a fee). The offer an abbreviated BTS tour for their top tier customers.

There is also  a free walking tour of the public areas on embarkation day.

Sorry I misunderstood. The original message seemed to imply that only the highest level tiers had that option.

Yes I paid for the behind the scenes tour on Carnival as well.

Yeah - I was joking about the slide.  The slides on Star and Jewel class never worked well for anyone.

Lol yes you were. Never worked for anyone.

The pool deck is great but the deck gets sooooo hot - like an iron - when it’s sunny and hot out. Yesterday (Komodo day) got people running from pool to chairs!

Thanks, didn't realize that the Jewel always had one (on her once in 2011) ... I know the Gem has one & stopped by each time we sailed to checkout the Mermaid.

We will have to book & sail the Jewel to see the refurbished ship to catch up, looks great overall (ok, making an excuse to cruise) ... perhaps too bright with its color scheme.
