non-ref booking an FCC when cancelling question

Just another FCC question - as the seem to float around these days....🙄

Can a FCC amount be used for 2 cruises?

Example I get an FCC for 2K - can I apply that to 2 cruises for 1K each?🤔

Thanks!

I am interested to know this too.

And another question about FCC - rather than opening another thread.

I will receive a FCC for the cancelled Oasis TA. If I want to book a cruise in which the fare is less than the FCC can I book add-ons (eg drinks package) to bring the price above the value of the FCC or is the credit only towards the fare

Never heard of being able to split an FCC.

Actually do not want to split it...but apply the 2K FCC  to a 1K cruise....and not loose $$$

That's what I meant, you want to take part and apply it to another cruise.  I'd love it if Royal surprises us, but I suspect that you lose what cannot be applied to one person's booking.

Well the agent stated....as long as the person name stays the same you will get a new FCC for the overpayment....this will be interesting!🙄

I am sure right now they will be a little flexible as we have many cruise booked so they should be able to apply the FCC to 2 of them to use it up...hopefully!👍

It cannot be used to pay for taxes and fees.

We use KSF promo a lot, and the FCC for a child cannot be used for port taxes and fees, as they still incur a cost on a cruise via the port fees and taxes. So if you cancel and get an FCC for a child, and cruise primarily KSF, it can be tough to use.

You have to cruise within one year of the FCC being issued.  Because we were having such a hard time using our FCC despite extensive cruising because we use KSF almost exclusively, I was able to get them to bend to allow us to just book within a year instead of use it within a year.
